I mean I can see Kings fans walking away thinking they did well under tough travel and schedule circumstances.

If traveling from LA is going to be a problem then they should forfeit.

I've just never seen the media go out of its way to support the concept of a moral victory in the playoffs, especially for a good team. It was very odd, certainly not something the local media would do if this happened to the Dodgers or Lakers.

As you said, I certainly wouldn't blame fans for feeling that way.

I think that happens more in hockey than most other sports. You also hear a lot more about how X team outplayed Y team but still lost. That happened quite a bit during the Wild series .

Oh my goodness, the local LA news postgame is so hilarious. Basically spun away this loss as the Kings were tired with the short rest. The sports anchor actually said Kings fans shouldn't have expected anything else and things will be back to normal for the Kings on Wednesday since they'll have two days rest. So congrats on the moral victory, Kings fans.

We've only beaten them 5 times out of 6 now in the playoffs the last two years.

Same thing with the Wild. For a team that's just as good as us, we sure do beat them a lot.

@BarryRozner: Linesman told Quenneville, "Enough." Quenneville told linesman to, um, well, perform an act that is rather unlikely and maybe even illegal.

LOL

Awesome.

No hockey tonight, maybe I will catch up on Game of Thrones, I am two episodes behind.

Looks like the Rangers are coming out of the East, I just don't see them beating the Hawks or Kings. I do hope Montreal can find a way to make it go 5 or 6 games though.

Lundqvist can beat anybody 4 out of 7. But that's their only hope.

Agree, not to be overconfident, but the Rangers should get smoked by either LA or Chicago unless Lundquist stands on his head for two weeks.

As a Hawks fan I'm not worried about not scoring on hot goalies.

Unless their name is Mike Smith.

Look at this man and tell me he does not intimidate you (sexually or in hockey):

My wife doesn't think Sharp is hot and that disturbs me on a deep personal level.

Mine also is not impressed. She loves Bickell.

I'm partial to Johnny Boychuk. Those eyes are dreamy.

Also, the Rat beat him like a mule so I'm not afraid of dreamy dudes.

Shaw sure sounded like he was ready to go in his press conference yesterday but conceded it's not his call.

#Blackhawks coach Joel Quenneville said Andrew Shaw "wanted to play today" but will wait until Game 3 to get forward in lineup vs. Kings.

Can't argue with that, really. Won't do any good for him to get hacked and whacked and re-injured quickly. Plus he plays such a nasty game.
