Can someone tell me what just happened? Gameday is not being helpful.

Grimm gave up a single up the middle with runners on 2nd and 3rd and two out.

Mercer flew out to RF.

Thanks...I reloaded and it filled in the blanks.

Runners at 2nd and 3rd, hard ground ball single up the middle, Bonifacio's throw from CF had no shot, and the cutoff guy was kinda slow getting into position and it hit the mound and went out of reach of the catcher, allowing the tying run to advance to 2nd. But no harm.

Castro looked absolutely terrible in that AB.

Pat gave a ".... not his best at bat (sigh)"

I got a pleading IM from a guy I know at work this morning begging that we dump Castro, and that he's the worst SS he's ever seen.

There's a non-zero chance that dumping him today to anyone who picks up his contract would turn out good for us.

1-2 hits are really frustrating

I think a fair timetable for Castro to turn things around would be around the time Javier Baez is expected to make the jump to the majors. If Castro hasn't shown signs of improvement by that time (June 9-ish?), there's no reason to let him block Baez at short.

That's pretty much exactly what my response was during our conversation this morning.

Why was Olt removed? A double switch is one thing, but to replace Olt doesn't seem to make much sense.

Guess they're worried about him noodle arming a throw with that sore shoulder.

I gotta say, this starting pitching has outperformed my expectations so far.

Bosio is magic.

sounds a little Sox fans who think Cooper can make shinola from SH*T…
