This game will get rained out and none of this will count. Olt will end the season with 73 HRs and have to settle for tying Bonds. We'll all be disappointed.

He's looked a lot more comfortable up there today than in the first 2 games.

 

He did have a much shortened spring, hopefully it's just a matter of getting reps to get comfortable.

Bonifacio has 0.6 fWAR already. He put up 0.6 fWAR in 431 PAs last season.

0.7 including today

15 PAs, .786/.800/.929

His 1.729 OPS is totally sustainable.

Bonifacio put up a .583/.600/.833/1.433 in his first 5 games in the 2009 season. I'll let you guys guess how that turned out.

Well he has a career OB% of .323, which on this team is downright awesome.

Unless we want to lead off Rizzo or Schierholtz, his normal output is still an upgrade.

 

As for war…we had 2 regulars above 2.0 last year, so his average war fits in perfectly!
