If you have another WR it makes a lot of sense. Unless I missed something, Carolina's best wideout not about to be released currently is Brandon LaFell, which would be fine if the team's goal was to go 7-9.

I think I saw somewhere that it works better or something to release Austin after the new league year starts, which is either June or July 1st. The reason, idk.

Darren McFadden resigns with the Raiders for 1yr/$4M, over $2M of which is incentives. Apparently no one in the league would offer him over the league minimum. Damn, was I wrong about him coming into the draft.

Miles has been cut too, but he's a June 1 cut. The difference is the Cowboys gain roughly 8 million by cutting Ware now. Miles if cut now would save less than a million, but would open up 5.5 million if he's a June 1 cut.
