I saw Briggs in a nightclub/bar the Friday night before the horrible Texans loss to keep the Bears out of the playoffs the final week a few years ago. He was pretty dull there. Just sat in the tiniest VIP area I've ever seen with 2 mediocre looking bitches and eating chicken wings. Got there early, left early.

As much as I want Nix at DT and think Hageman is a reach at 14, how much concern should I have about another DT coming off a severe knee injury?

I'm starting to go down this road of thought also. My main concern is that Nix is 330lbs with a bad knee. That's a lot of weight. About 35-40 lbs more than Melton, with his knee issues. Hageman may not ultimately be a reach at 14, because I think if the Bears don't grab him, he'll probably still go in the teens. I don't think it's going to be a situation where they can trade down and still get Hageman if he's the target.

I don't understand why Hageman would be considered a reach at 14 - he'll test well and go in the teens. Also, Jernigan might rise enough to not be a reach at 14.

If Dix or Mosely are gone and Hageman is the BPA on defense, then I'll change my tune but right now, he's a slight reach IMO.

I think I'll wait for the combine & such before having a strong opinion, but with Hageman showing up on more than one mock as the Bears' pick, I'm having a hard time believing he would be considered a reach.

 

I still think Nix's knee is a risk that Emery will not take. We will see.

Love this! Instead of changing Pryor to Loston (who sucks), sign TJ Ward (over Byrd) at SS and Pryor for FS. I'd also take Pryor's teammate Marcus Smith over Jeffcoat, but I wouldn't complain about that offseason at all.
