Speculation from our friends in Chicago is that the Bears announcement is either a Cutler contract or Peanut Tillman retiring.

I really honestly wish they worked with Wilson this year, the hope being he provides a dimension the two big receivers don't.

 

I'm tired of seeing the Bradleys and Iglesiases of the world quietly drop off the roster

He left the team yesterday with some sort if family issue. I don't think it's been disclosed what the issue is but I'm assuming its bad if he might miss this one.

I would think some of it counts against this year's cap and its spread really thin over the duration of the deal. It also locks up the best Kicker in the league. Not a horrible signing....

What receivers made it over him? Just by a quick guess a few I suspect are, Calvin, Vincent Jackson, Garcon maybe (just because he can have like 110+ catches by years end).

This year is different as there isn't a AFC/NFC squad. It's overall with Deion Sanders/Jerry Rice selecting their own team via a draft.

 

Here are the group of WRs... 5 from AFC and 3 from NFC

Josh Gordon, Browns

A.J. Green, Bengals

Andre Johnson, Texans

Calvin Johnson, Lions

Brandon Marshall, Bears

The only people I can see Jeffery beating out are Bryant or Marshall and possibly Andre. Jeffery would've been in IMO under the old rules.
