Loss to Seahawks was lowest amount of offense for a Saints team since Week 3 of 2003

Awful game. Probably the only Saints game I've voluntarily turned off since I can't even recall.

I was actually looking forward to the game, then the Saints just didn't show up.

To add insult to injury, the Saints plane couldn't take off last night so they had to spend another night in Seattle.

Hey, look everyone. Another Thursday night crapfest to start things off.

As good a reason as any why I shouldn't come within 10 miles of a sportsbook.

I probably would have picked both of those teams for the playoffs. Certainly Houston. Atlanta would have been a little more iffy, but I wasn't sure if the Saints would really rebound either.

I didn't know this, but Carolina can use every advantage they can get this week so thank goodness for the broken plane.

I'm going to be distracted all week leading up to this game. First time in 4 years and only the 4th time in the NBC era that Carolina's been on SNF.

Peter King tweeting that he expects Kubiak to be fired by the Texans today.

I used to love him and think he will make somebody a great OC.

Do you think he gets another HC shot down the road?

This year was a catastrophe, but he also was at the helm for every respectable season the Texans have ever had.

Unless he turns around a new offense in a hurry, it will take a while. But yes, I would assume that a few years of quality OC work will put him right back in the running. Pete Carroll and Belichick have both done wonders for guys looking for a second shot.

McNair just indicated he wants to talk to Lovie Smith.

Kind of a natural fit.

Great move for Texans, IMO. Hire a Texan, in Texas, where there is maybe the most football talent in the country, and hiring a guy that players like to play for. He already has some pieces in place in a lot of places. Maybe adding the #1 pick. Anyone halfway capable of running an offense and they'll be contending for a Superbowl by 2015.

It's the NFL and its salary cap, the number of good Texas football players doesn't really matter.

We're talking about Lovie Smith right?

I think he meant that if Lovie were HC and hired someone capable of running an offense. Still arguably a stretch for Lovie.
