Seriously its 2nd down and we can play for a tie. I understand the possibility of a turnover or a loss of yards, but in my mind you have to run it. If Gould misses, the Vikings again have good field position for a game winning FG.

You never happily settle for a 47 yard field goal. You can be confident your kicker can make one but you never settle for one.

 

this is absolutely correct.

 

espcially when you have a terrible defense behind you that will have to defend a short field
