4-star OL Andy Bauer commits to Mizzou, drops it for Ole Miss, then re-commits to Missouri. Take that, Hugh Freeze.

 

Congrats on your first 4 star of the class.

 

Not surprising he would go with Mizzou considering he is from there and all.

 

It's kind of surprising seeing as how he de-commited. Also, what the Missouri coaching staff lacks in recruiting St. Louis, they make up for in developing 3-star guys. Remember that the next time you're putting together SEC power rankings.

 

I'm not really a star-hunter because I look back at some of Ole Miss' greatest players in the past decade and many were nobodies out of high school.

 

Patrick Willis - 2 star

Dexter McCluster - 2 star

Greg Hardy - 3 star

Peria Jerry - 3 star

 

So I do understand that stars aren't everything. However, they certainly help as far as depth is concerned. When you've got 4 star players as backups like Alabama has, then you are likely going to do pretty well.

 

I'm guessing Bauer initially de-committed because Pinkel was on such a hot seat. Now, of course, he isn't.

The same "splatter" patterns are in blue too. I definitely see why people would see that, but I don't know if they were going for "blood stained American flag" there, even if they have invited controversy in the past.
