I don't understand the sign and trade talk with Carmelo. He only would come to Chicago if he got the extra year that a sign and trade would bring?

No extra year in the S&T anymore. So NY has a big leg up as far as contract value goes. A S&T would be tricky because it basically means the Bulls don't have the space they need to sign Melo outright. It would really require us and Melo to use LA as leverage to the point where Melo tells Phil he can work out a S&T with the Bulls or he signs in LA.

I dont know much about any of the incoming rookies but I want a big guard who can shoot. I want jimmy buckets to become expendable and to potentially replace him with a better shooter.

Stauskas, I want Stauskas

Even putting aside my homer bias that would be awesome. He should be around for one if not both of our picks.

Didn't see the game tonight and I realize it wasn't against a real nba team but Jimmer erupted for 17.

DJ was out with the birth of his son.

Jimmer looked rusty/stiff early on, but once he got going he played well against the terrible Magic D. I think what was most impressive was his defense. Looked very active and you can tell he was putting in a lot of effort on that side of the ball.

That said, he won't be in the rotation come playoff time.

@WindhorstESPN

Heat shut down to get No. 2 seed & now Nets putting No. 6 in play by maybe sitting 6 rotation players. Talk about respect for the Raptors.

Anyone know when the playoff schedule will be announced? I have tickets to the first game, but have no idea when it is.

On the broadcast yesterday they said Game 1 would be either Saturday or Sunday. They helps you narrow it down a little at least.

If the nets purposely lose two games I have absolutely no respect for that approach. The raps are good. As good as the bulls. Doesn't everybody get 3 days off Before the playoffs?

Considering that one is Easter, I sincerely hope that it's on Saturday...

I would say it's a greater chance of Sunday than Saturday. Hawks are at the UC on Monday so the Bulls Game 2 won't be until Tuesday. Usually they try to go every other day at least for the first 2 games. But we'll see.

You actually think the Nets are purposely losing to avoid the Bulls?

Wizards and Pacers would be a nice road to the ECF.

That is the dream scenario. A legit shot at the ECF and the Heat are certainly vulnerable, especially if they have to go through Brooklyn.

I don't know their motivations for anything but "tanking for the 6 seed" was a story today. Turns out they played their guys tonight and lost anyway, but the story was they were gonna shut down 6 guys for their last two games. If that had actually been the case wouldn't you also surmise they were comfortable slipping to the 6 seed?

As great as Lebron is I think we have a punchers chance and many teams have a legit chance to take out the heat.

Yes but I suspect that was as much trying to match up with Miami (4-0 this year) as it is avoiding Chicago

Maybe, but they were 1-2 vs Chicago this year and were knocked out of the playoffs by the Bulls last year.

Yeah that's why I said as much. I definitely think they would prefer to avoid us.

Tonight is the last night of the regular season so here are the playoff scenarios still at play for the Bulls:

Bulls vs. Charlotte

Toronto vs. NY Knicks

Brooklyn vs. Cleveland

Washington vs. Boston

3 Bulls vs. 6 Wizards

-Bulls win

-Toronto loss

-Brooklyn win

3 Bulls vs. 6 Nets

-Bulls win

-Toronto loss

-Brooklyn loss

-Washington win

4 Bulls vs. 5 Nets

-Bulls loss OR Toronto win

-Brooklyn win OR Washington loss

4 Bulls vs. 5 Wizards

-Bulls loss OR Toronto win

-Brooklyn loss

-Washington win

Charlotte can still be the 6 seed, but since they are playing Chicago tonight and need a win, the Bulls can't match up with the Bobcats
