That would make 3 players below AA for the Cubs. If all 3 actually do go, I wonder if the Cubs got some sort of exception or if Soler will get a promotion to AA in name only...

Its too late for that. He had to be promoted by August 1st I think.

I saw that. I've seen conflicting reports on Baez, but I think if any of the 4 don't go, it's him.

IIRC, McLeod said on Law's podcast if Baez isn't in the AFL he'll likely play winter ball somewhere.

That's not a surprise as most minor leaguers at AA or above play somewhere in the winter. I'd imagine the Puerto Rican Winter League would be his most likely destination.

Good to see Soler, Vizcaino and Beeler will be healthy enough to play this fall.

 

I assume with Rivero's inclusion and Rosscup's omission, Rosscup will definitely be added to the 40-man this offseason.
