Jason Goff @Jason1Goff · 6s

"@Jdona88: @Jason1Goff is the big announcement at 3pm today?" For me? No.

Could be moving someone from another show to fill the midday slot announced at 3pm and Goff will fill in the open spot elsewhere, announced at a later time.

So on the score right now they have... Mully and Hanley in the AM, formerly Mac and Spiegs Midday, Boers and Bernstein afternoons, Lawrence Holmes in the evening and creepy Les Grobstein overnight. Boers and Bernstein isn't changing, and Holmes has some 120 sports thing that is taking up his time. So maybe someone from Mully and Hanley moves to midday, and Goff to AMs, announced later?

Yeah...Matt Abbatacola has been the guy that a lot of the hosts have been pushing, but I really think he's boring. I've really enjoyed Pat Mannelly when he's been on there lately, and I'm hoping for him to be paired with Spiegel.

I have too.

Man, I wish they'd get rid of Mully and Hanley. They are unbearable

I enjoy when one or both are on vacation and it is filled in by someone else, I might be in the minority but I enjoy when Rozner fills in. He is the only one who actually talks hockey and trolls the Vancouver Canuck fan base any chance he gets.

Brave stance, trolling Canucks fans on a Chicago radio station.

I just turned on Kap and Haugh for a few minutes for grins, and they were arguing about the ancient Manti Te'o story...timely.

Rozner is the worst.

Holmes might be the only one on the Score that I actually enjoy, but I only listen while I'm in my car, so having a tolerable option for the morning drive would be pretty nice. Mike & Mike are just okay, and they get stuck on one topic for what seems like weeks at a time. MLB Network Radio has Hollandsworth and Memolo, so they talk a lot about who doesn't hit well enough with RISP. I've been going with NFL Network Radio lately, which actually isn't bad, but a decent local option would be nice.

I enjoy Spiegel. Enjoyed Mac at times. I like Bernstein when he has someone on that will challenge some of what he says...Boers never does that.

Guessing it's in relation to the USC story

Maybe...I didn't listen long enough to know. They're both so intolerable to me.

Dunno how many Score listeners are on here, but the Dan McNeil drama finally ended, and they're announcing the new midday show at 3pm today. It's sounding like Jason Goff will be returning.

Jason Goff @Jason1Goff · 27m

Another way to hear me on the radideo (radio) will be announced from what I am told tomorrow. Looking forward to this opportunity.

I hope so. Holmes and Goff deserve a show together with a push, Spiegel can sit in and be the Jewish guy.

Sounds like Mac wanted an afternoon drive time show, and the Score ain't moving B and B, the show that put Afternoon Saloon out of business.

Never liked Mac anyway. He's a big blubbering idiot who is to reverent to meatballs like North. It was cool to hear the Transition one day when Bernstein and Mac were arguing about North. Mac was defending him, Bernstein was being as tactful as can be: "I'm just happier when he's not around."

Abbatacola tries too hard to be Bernstein, but you can't pull it off without being smart.

i disagree. Bernstein is at his best when he has a hype-man like Boers backing him up. he really gets the meatballs in a lather.

and yes, if you don't like Bernstein, you're a meatball, sorry.

I have no problem with Bernstein getting meatballs in a lather, it's fun sometimes, but I think he's capable of having some very smart discussion that Boers is unable to facilitate. I really like when he has Holmes on there in Terry's place. It's probably not as good "radio" without all the hooting and hollering and screamy silliness, but the sports talk is better.

Can't I just dislike him for being a smarmy [expletive] and a terrible radio personality even if he's right sometimes?

Exactly. And he's not right as often as he likes to think he is.

Holmes and Goff have pretty much the only ones I've found entertaining there, and that's due in no small part to their ability to talk about non-sports topics and not sound sound like weird, coked-out shock rock dinosaurs.

Worst show on radio. I think a large part of the ratings that they get is from people that listen for the fun bad factor. I'd like to transcribe one of their interviews with any of the 28 guests that they have on every one of their shows, just to show how ridiculous it is.

Yeah, they are awful. The only reason they can compete is that they're going against Mike and Mike, who aren't actually that bad, but are so national in focus that you just don't care who they are talking to because it's always the top ESPN story being beaten into the ground repeatedly.

If Mully/Hanley went head to head with, let's say Goff/Abbatacola or Holmes/Spiegel, they'd get murdered in the ratings.
