PPD game leads to another game thread from yours truly.

The "series" shifts to Wrigley Field for a day game against the South Siders.

Today features Jordan Danks' more talented (?) brother who has no record yet and an ERA of 4.50

The Cubs send Scott "Babe Ruth" Feldman to the bump, sporting a record of 4-4 and an ERA of 2.80 (victim of circumstance?).

Danks.. word of advice... don't lay one down the pipe to Feldman. It'll wind up next to Glenallen Hill's ball on the rooftop!

Go Cubs

No Hawk today on CWS broadcast.

Not sure how I doubled up this post, but for this one I will just change it up by adding a note that somebody named Mike Huff is filling in.

Let's win these next two so we don't have to wait on the make-up to claim the Crosstown Cup!

What happens if they tie? I forget.

Current Cup holder (in this case the Sox) keeps it.

I'm pretty sure the starting pitchers are all locked in a pen to fight it out. The last pitcher standing is awarded a feast of turkey and brandy, and his team wins the treasured crosstown cup.

Well, he has the option of letting his teammates have turkey and brandy while he goes hungry, or having it himself and his teammates get nothing.

It takes a bold man to take it himself.

Maybe he stepped on a landmine?

The Score said "sore throat", but Matt Spiegl said he didn't want to sit so close to Stoney in the crowded broadcast booth.
