Iowa will be facing Zack Wheeler today.

Also, you've really gotta figure Castillo moves up to AA sometime soon.

Is 27 innings enough to warrant a promotion? Admittedly, I don't know much about the guy.

He's got 60 total innings at A+ now, including last year in the Red Sox organization. He is 24 already and has over 500 pro innings, including 400 across the three A ball levels.

And he missed all of 2011 to injury, which is probably why he's still in A+

Brett Jackson has 8 K in 47 PA (17%) and a .295 AVG in 11 G since returning from injury

Here's hoping the changes to his swing are actually having an impact.

How many walks in that stretch, though? Is he just swinging earlier?

Three. Lower than what he's done in the past, but not so much to make you suspicious when it's only been 47 PA.

I feel like I've been playing the "let's get excited about improvement in some arbitrary endpoint" with prospects for 15 years or so, starting with Corey Patterson. Does it ever end well? Maybe Samardzija.

Who is more likely to sustain their first couple of months... Shoulders or Geiger?

Good question. I'll take the less popular of the two, in Geiger. He's younger than Rock, has a lesser K rate and is playing at the higher level.
