How bout this one. .

I like Baez but I'm too lazy to read about what he will or won't become, I just like watching him on TV. Oh and here's some other recent Cubs player's names I remember, just cause. Sammy Sosa, Derrick Lee, Greg Maddux, and Kyle Hendricks.

He could be … Ryan Theriot

Like the "Can't Quiet The Riot" T-shirts of the recent past, fans can't get enough "Feliz Javy-dad" apparel.

Hitting Wins Championships: Why the Chicago Cubs’ Inverted Rebuilding Strategy Is Starting to Look Brilliant

Man, Rany really does love Epstein and Hoyer.

He was the one that interviewed for a job with them, right?

That being said, a good article, and just because it can't be said enough, [expletive] pitchers.

Yep, didn't want to have to move or give up his practice IIRC

I really am tired of the cubs giving up before the All-star break. And it is really pissing me off that the cubs trade their best players. To me rebuilding the team's fist step is to get some middle relief and closers. Not trading your starters. The starters were getting the job done to have the middle relief come in and blowing it for them. Cubs need to focus on that in stead of gettin' rid of the great starters we had. I been a Cubs fan my whole life and I am getting ready to turn 54 and it just pisses me of to no end to see what Epstein and Hoyer is doin'. The last 2 years have been the same thing. fix the MIDDLE RELIEFand CLOSERS AND QUIT FRIGGIN' TRADING YOUR BEST PLAYERS FOR NOBODY! I am really beginning to think the Cubs don't want to win a world series as long as the sell out all the games at home they don't care. AND THAT IS REALLY STARTIN' TO PISS ME OFF TOO!

lol from the comments on rany's article

how are stupid people so consistent in being stupid? i'm not saying he's wrong for being mad at the team sucking, but he's wrong about literally everything else. like, you could come up with a checklist of all the dumb opinions one can have about baseball and the cubs and he would have checked off most of them in one post.

Well, they are selling out every game

are dumb baseball fans the dumbest fans of any professional sport?

It's not that the fans are dumber than any other sports' fans. It's that the sport does not lend itself well to their dumbness.

Baseball is all about probability and small differences playing out over large samples. Those are two things that the human brain absolutely *sucks* at understanding intuitively.

if you took the IQs of the people who identify themselves as fans of each of the three major sports, i think baseball fans would easily come out on top

football is oh my god bad. i wish i could find a place that talks football as intelligently as this place talks baseball.

dumb baseball fans are as bad as any of them but i bet baseball overall has a lot more nerds who like numbers and stuff

This. I would say baseball is the worst overall as a group, but as for which sport is the worst when it comes to "Who could be the dumbest about a team/player/etc?", it's football. I know some really really REALLY dumb football fans.

For example: I'm going to win $100 in a few months because a friend bet me that Tampa will win 11 or more this year because he thinks Lovie Smith is a top 5-10 coach of ALL TIME.
