Also the opposing pitcher in the first KC name is named Damien Magnifico.

We really need a player named Magnifico.

David Bote assigned to Daytona from EXST (per Daytona twitter) and will be playing 2B today. Just another piece in the middle infield puzzle.

No clue about now, but he broke 100 fairly regularly in college. He was projected as a future closer back then.

he's from OU, if I remember right. Who's system is he in?

Yeah, he was at OU last year.

Seems like the perfect fit to turn into the Brewers elite closer for 1 1/2 years and then completely fall off the face of the earth

Kane County doubleheader snowed out again.

Both games will be made up as part of doubleheaders to take place in Kane County when the Timber Rattlers visit from June 14-16.

Baez may start to heat up now. Starting to put the ball in play the last 3-4 games. A couple outs to the opposite field. Couple line drive outs. I'm hoping a big week is coming.

Torreyes is 2-3, with another walk. He's definitely started out his AA stint well. Zach Cates appears to be pitching well, he's a guy that COULD turn himself into a guy we need to follow much more closely.

I had Cates in my top 40 this offseason, I like him quite a bit despite his struggles last season.

What's the story on him? He was terrible at Daytona, 42H/13BB/10K, totally hittable and no K-stuff at all. And then very bad at Peoria also.

Did it turn out there was some injury thing associated to rationalize the poor year?

Baez now has a 3-game hitting streak, the first time he's had so long a streak since getting promoted to Daytona. He's up to .190 average and .239 OBP. He hasn't been able to go over .250OBP at either Daytona last year or in AFL last fall. So it wold be cool if he could sustain something and get over .200 BA/.250 OBP.

I just figured a wretched year but his past success and stuff deserved a limited mulligan so he fell about 20 spots in my rankings.

He was just brutal in Daytona, but while Cates did have a bad ERA at Peoria he got his strikeouts up and his control rebounded. Oddly enough, FIP liked him even during his brutal stretch at Daytona.

Loosen pitched 3 innings, good news.

Conway had three clean innings, 40-some pitches.

Rosario also pitched again, got into the 2nd inning.

Baez 4 hits, no or little hitting from anybody else (Soler, Dunston, Golden, etc.)

Oops, is that the wrong day and this was reported a day or two ago in a different thread? O well.

Yeah, those games were played on Saturday.
