Mills will be RT/OG in NFL

Which is why I prefer Faulk, he has a better chance of playing at LT.

Isn't that where Long should be headed, anyway?

LOL. Screw this team. Wasting another draft without giving Cutler any help.

Huh?

What an odd thing to say when they reached on a high upside OL in the first round.

This was when they traded down.

David's post was still true at that point too.

I still don't understand what he means. What more help does Cutler need at this point?

They signed an LT, drafted an OL in the first, signed one of the better TE available...last year they got one of the best WR in the league and drafted a really good one...

And they hired a QB whisperer as a head coach.

One would hope but there are some questions about his ability to eventually play LT. Bushrod won't be around for too long, they are being proactive in replacing LT.

Yeah, his post was always true. Everyone overreacted to the trade down. It was hilarious.

How many linemen do we have now?

Bushrod, Webb, Garza, Williams, Brown, Carimi, Slauson, Britton, Long, Scott and now Mills. That's 11.

That seems...excessive. We'll probably cut at least three of those guys.

I'll join others in saying I really hope Slauson (or someone else) can play center so we can cut Garza. I'd guess that Williams, Brown and Scott would be the ones most on the bubble after that.

Is: Bushrod, Long, Slauson, Carimi, Webb the best alignment we can hope for as starters? Is that a better than average line?

They were all pining for Swope as a slot receiver to help Cutler. I'm not agreeing with them, just pointing out what he and others were referring to.

In the first round everyone was all "Why didn't they trade down?" and in the 4th round they trade down and it's all "OMG I hate teh Bearz!"

If that assumes Long earns the LG spot, probably. Depends on how Carimi handles full time starting; I'm still wary of him at G.

Williams is currently the backup C, so I don't think he can get cut. Scott would be interesting; if they cut him, they're confident that Carimi, Long or Mills can be a swing tackle in a pinch. I think Britton is the most likely to be cut.

With your o-line coach, there's no reason to think Mills can't be coached into a very good player.

Agreed - I'm sure Kromer is giving input on which OL prospects he likes.

With the moves on the OL, I wish they would have been able to get a center but this was such a weak center draft.

They overdrafted a 24 year old meth head with a total of 5 college games under his belt or some crap.

Sorry, yes, I was going left to right with those names.

You didn't address the last question, though. They've thrown a lot of bodies at the problem, but have they managed to construct a better than average line?
