I'm assuming they mean that all the crap Jay Cutler got for not coming back into the game with an MCL Strain caused Griffin to force himself to stay in the game or something like that. But thats a hilarious screen cap.

Anyone surprised Billick hasn't received any mention?

Not at all. The guy has been a non-entity on the coaching hunt for a while.

wasn't his offense just throwing jump balls to moss and carter?

pretty sure they weren't with him when he won a Superbowl in Baltimore...

When his offense was "go let the defense play".

I cannot think of a single prominent "offensive mind" that is associated with the Billick coaching tree, despite him being a supposed offensive guru. The most notable one may be Mike Tice. There have been numerous solid coaches who worked under Cowher, including Arians.

yeah, they were a relative offensive juggernaut.

That's pretty ridiculous. Obviously Jay Cutler is a [expletive] who checked out of the championship game because he was afraid, but it's just asinine to even make him a topic of the conversation.

After the Bears fired Dave Wannstedt in 1998, Mark Hatley was ordered by Michael McCaskey to begin a search for candidates. Hatley went on the road, talked to more than a dozen (including Bill Belichick, Brian Billick and Jim Haslett – how’s that for a list of ones that got away?), and eventually developed five candidates to bring to Halas Hall for final interviews: Gunther Cunningham, Dick Jauron, Sherm Lewis, Dave McGinnis and Joe Pendry.

And then they fired him but let him run the draft before he left.

Been hearing a lot of good things about Rick Dennison.

It sounds like the Bears are the only team interviewing him -- at least so far.

John Clayton think that Trestman is the top candidate, and that the Bears can't afford to wait for McCoy or anyone in the playoffs...that they have to hire in the next week.

So many Bear fans are cool, so it's strange to see the hateful ones come out. Why do they follow if they hate? Find a punching bag.

Bears fans are fans of the Bears, not you, and they hate you because you suck.
