Here's the list of teams Rotoworld has linked to Bourn:

Phillies - just got Revere

Mariners - appear to be getting Hamilton

Braves - got Upton

Nationals - got Span

Reds - no additions, but have Stubbs and may not be able to afford Bourn

Giants - signed Pagan

and the Cubs.

Hamilton ends up staying in Texas and the Mariners sign Bourn...

Rangers sign Randy Wells. I actually forgot about him.

I can think of 29 better places for a guy trying to salvage what remains of his pitching career.

And speaking of guys we one kind of cared about

@BleacherNation: Former Cub, DeWitt. RT @eddymk

#Braves sign lefty-hitting 2B/3B/LF Blake DeWitt & C Matt Pagnozzi to minor league deals.

My prediction is that the Brewers go all in on Hamilton and go back to the team that scores 12 runs per game but struggle not to give up 13.

Aoki/Gomez

Weeks

Braun

Hamilton

Ramirez

Hart

Lucroy

Segura

Would be a very good/scary lineup to face, that would easily be the best 2-6 lineup in baseball.

I'm mildly surprised the Twins moved both Revere and Span. I think it's two excellent moves for them, just a touch surprised. But good gambles on power arms make sense for them.

Maybe the Twins are going to overspend to get Bourn now?

That would be my guess that they are going to go after one of the remaining good OF FA (Hamilton, Bourn, Swisher) or are thinking they can make a trade for one that's available (Upton, Soriano?, Choo, one of the Royals guys, etc.)

Kyle's giddy.

I'm happy. He plays above average D and if he finally healthy, he can hit. Good patience too.

The wrist that has been derailing his career since 2005 is *definitely* healed this time, unlike all the other times he thought it was healed.

Not much savings. RT @BNightengale The #Cubs re-signed third baseman Ian Stewart to a one-year, $2 million contract with $500K of incentives

At least the surgery offers some hope. Had he gone that route before?

It's not even a minor league deal?

I need to go to the ... other thread.

I think he might have had surgery on the original injury in 2005, but that's it iirc. Of course, the fact that it's a rehabbing from surgery wrist doesn't really make me feel any better about it.

Just out of curiosity, who did you have in mind for 3rd? The way the 3B markets shaping up, this could end up a steal.

My only question is how different is this then what he'd have gotten before being non-tendered?

Well, based on this:

We all know about the surgery he had late in the season which, according to Stewart, finally addressed a lingering problem that other doctors had missed for years.

I think that there might be something to the actually being healed this time theory.
