Some serious ND bitterness happening on FB.

No kidding. Several stupid posts on my feed including someone saying Manziel got a DUI (I guess when people have an axe to grind they make up their own stories).

I didn't even know division 2 players were eligible

I know this is a joke but my mom asked me recently who Tim Brown's Heisman competition was in 1987 and I was shocked to see a Holy Cross player finished third. That's never happening again.

weird i was just talking with my mom about who got third in the 1979 heisman race.

Can't believe a rapist won

and a murderer won coach of the year. what has become of the sport i love??

It's like, if you're going to reward these guys, why are you holding down the cyclones over a little bestiality? Everyone gets lonely.

It had been way too long since you chimed in on one of my posts. Thanks so much for your addendum

But Gordie was a full time 2 way player. I talk to my mom about that often.

Kidding aside, I think Lockbaum was a case where the hype for a guy was much higher then it should have been because of something silly. He played both ways. Whatever, he probably could not have started one way on a good division 1 team. Because of the hype over this, he got top 5 in Heisman back to back years. If you look over the years there are plenty of players who got top 5 Heisman consideration more for silly subjective reasons than actual quality. Heck how many times has a okay QB from a National Title contender won? or best player from an undefeated ND team?

Petrino to W Kentucky. So I guess you could say he nearly landed at Tennessee.

I'd have preferred Butch Davis, but yeah, I'd trade head coaches with Western Kentucky in a heartbeat.

While I like Stoops, I'd rather have Petrino over Stoops at UK.

I'm going to come out and say it. Very odd choice by the Heisman voters. They had a chance to pick a football player who does nothing but eat, sleep and drink the game. A ferocious, hard nosed tackler who's devotion to football is only second to his family and his studies. Not only that, they had a chance to pick a winner, who has driven his team to a unbeaten season and a chance to play for the title.

Waaaaaaaaaaaa! Waaaaaaaaaaaaa! Waaaaaaaaaaaaa!

Stupidity is, as we all know, exclusive to people who support Notre Dame athletics. And no one is a better authority on stupidity than CubinNY.
