I don't think your numbers are right. We had 8 early enrollees that counted towards 2012 since we signed a very small class last year. We signed 23 today and had room for 2 more. One is not going to qualify so he didn't sign (Derrick Griffin will go JUCO and hopefully end up at A&M eventually) and one decided to grayshirt since he won't be able to play in 2013 anyway (JJ Gustafson blew out his knee in his last HS game).

Combine that with the fact that his parents were unable to accompany him on his official to College Station and that killed our chances. Should be a great player as long as he stays away from fake chicks on the Internet.

Malzahn and the new staff did a great job. The only disappointments were missing on Reuben Foster and Mackensie Alexander.

 

The defensive line class is elite.

But the math isn't wrong. If he wants to quibble about which commits are signed now and which will join the team in the next year or two, fine. But the point remains, A&M is as bad as the rest of oversigning sec crowd.
