Yep, that's exactly what I said. There is certainly no margin between being an amateur scout and having a hernia because your team somebody besides the 5-10 players you likely actually know about. You guys are terrible, and it's hilarious.

i'm not even a bears fan.

your position seems to be that fans of a team shouldn't get upset when the team they follow makes a selection that the vast majority of experts in the field disagree with. like when people were mad that the cubs drafted hayden simpson; i mean, none of us had seen him play so who were we to criticize? maybe he turned out awesome, who knows???

Or you can read the text that's on your screen and not just make [expletive] up. That's also an option.

Define continually.

So you can start another argument you're going to change or add a caveat to?

He's a 3rd rounder!- Well even the guy that likes him says he's a 2nd- Well he's only that high because of the run on OL.

You're applauding the pick!- Well u can't define continually.

Man, the Hayden Simpson comps are ridiculous and don't help some of you who seem over the top.

FWIW, from NFLDraftTek:

The son of Howie Long (Pro Bowler, 84 sacks in 13 seasons) and brother of Chris Long has the DNA and the High School cred (pitcher and first baseman earning all-state honors, offensive and defensive lineman for back-to-back state champions). His upper body and leg strength, large hands, long arms, and quick footwork will work well for the Bears. Its scary that Howie thinks Kyles the best athlete in the family, isnt it?

But there is close to a consensus out there on the web. Nobody had him as a 3rd round pick, which is what Goony was wrong about. He can add his caveats like, "it's only because the run on OL" but he's still not right calling him a 3rd round pick.

Dude, the point is it's time to call a spade a spade on this kind of [expletive] pick. That's a terrible pick at that point in the draft, and yes you can talk about good things the kid might do, or talk about how he might actually pan out.

It's still a bad pick, and I guess I'm expecting you of all people to understand that and not try to rationalize it.

And I said that. This whole conversation stems from me saying, "gotta applaud him at least addressing the worst area on the team for the last 4 years". At least he didn't reach for a safety. I guess that's rationalizing it, but I have continually said it's a bad pick and a reach. What more do you want?

Define continually.

LOL.

He keeps adding a disclaimer that it's a reach while you say stupid [expletive] like Long's a third rounder.

You're desperately trying to backtrack. I will allow it since you are finally coming to the right side of the debate.

Bears pick has to be the worst in the 1st round, right? Maybe the Bills? Bottom two, at best.

Bills is worst. With the caveat being of course that a qb can actually make a difference.

The kid from Houston was a bad pick by Oakland.

Bears trade Kyle Long to the Cubs for Jeff Samardzija.

I hope they take Te'o here.

Gut the rest of their draft and don't address their offense.

I see you haven't answered my question, which is to be expected. But enlighten me, what "basic concepts" am I not understanding?

Truffle just used it as an example. I don't think it was off base for his intent at all.

I'm not going to lie, I was super intrigued with him as a pitcher coming out of HS.

lol vikings thats terrible.

Well, at least that makes me feel better. The Vikings NEED to be capable of reciprocal stupidity, or else the Bears are really screwed.

Someone else mentioned it somewhere too.
