Nothing says "We're going to be a dangerous team in the playoffs" like losing to the Wizards at home.

I just realized the Wizards are 22-16 since their 4-28 start with wins over OKC, ATL, DEN (x2), CHI, LAC, NY, BRK, LAL, MEM

They aren't bad.

Basically when John Wall came back.

Right now the Cavs are on pace to have the 3, 16, 32, and 33 pick. Should be interesting to see how much they telegraph the "please LeBron come back" campaign for next year, if that is the plan.

I'm sure the telegraph will be on the front page of the Cavs site, in comic sans.

How is this years draft class shaping up??? Compare to the last couple years? I haven't exactly been following much college bball this year.

Would be interesting to see if LeBron does come back... Got Irving,Waiters,Thompson, and Zeller plus the 4 picks that you mentioned and probably another lottery pick the following year. Varejao will be on his last year of his contract I believe, but he's most likely gone to make cap space for LeBron.

It's pretty weak. No stars, a few guys who probably could be second division starters, mostly role player types.

Keith Trawick (NJ) How much more excited are you about the 2014 draft than the 2013 one?

Chad Ford  (1:51 PM) Look, every year NBA scouts hate on the draft and most years it ends up being better than they said it would be. This year the hating has been consistent and when you look at the top of the board, it's tough to get super excited. However, there is a lot of depth here and lots of players on our Big Board are going to make and stick in the league. Next year, however, could be special. We have one of the best incoming high school classes ever. Have a few elite international players. If a few of these underclassmen come back, it could be a very special draft.

Artest is out 6 weeks with knee surgery. The Lakers are in trouble to hold onto the 8 spot with the Mavs getting hot down the stretch. Nash/Kobe/Artest/Gasol/Howard couldn't have started more than 15 games together all year with how the injuries have fallen (though I don't know the exact number).

ESPN had just decided yesterday to televise Heat/Bobcats on the 5th (bumping Thunder/Pacers) and Heat/Sixers on the 6th. So now they're stuck with two terrible games, and who knows if the Heat start resting early at this point. I understand needing time for production to get there, but that seems a bit early to be locked into games.

Danilo Gallinari probably blew out his knee tonight. He was driving to the basket, planted on his left leg and his knee bent inwards. That would be a big blow to Denver's chances in the playoffs.

Torn ACL. Done for the season.

And next season if he's on the Rose rehab program.
