Was at the game tonight. The Bulls play their guts out, but they were getting outrebounded much of the night. They were fortunate that Nash is an awful defender (thus allowing Hinrich to go off). Thibs does a great job scheming to enhance their strengths and hide their weaknesses on D. Not to pick on Kirk too much, but Hinrich didn't have to go one-on-one with Nash too much tonight (he steered him into double teams) and when he did he got beat.

In addition to a dynamic SG (good luck), they need a big off the bench. Easier said than acquired, I know, but Muhammed is out of shape, a meh rebounder, and can't score at all. Basically he's a big body and 6 fouls. We need a better back up C.

BTW, something is really wrong with Dwight Howard. He can barely jump and doesn't run the floor. He has to still be hurting.

There is a rumor on realgm that the Bulls/Sonics ( :) )/Bobcats are having talks centered around the infamous Bobcats protected pick the Bulls have.

Bulls get:

Jason Thompson

Jimmer Fredette

Trailblazers Top 12 Protected 1st round pick (from Charlotte)

Sonics get:

Gerald Henderson

Nazr Mohammed

Bobcats get:

Future 1st round pick back from Bulls

Richard Hamilton

That would leave the Bulls (post return) with

Rose/Hinrich/Robinson/Teague

Bellineli/Fredette/Cook

Deng/Butler/Radmonovic

Boozer/Gibson

Noah/Thompson

And 2 first round picks this year in the late teens to mid 20s

That would be a solid trade for the Bulls in terms of depth, but do you trust Fredette to start? Bellineli?

I think you have to start Bellineli. Fredette is too short, and you can't have Rose guarding SG's. With Rose playing, I'd have no problem starting Bellineli. He can just stand at the arc and shoot when the ball is passed to him.

I feel like we can do a little better with the Bobcats pick. I definitely want to trade it before the Bobcats get a franchise talent and turn their team around, but I'd prefer a bigger package, say for Love.

I think it's worth the risk to see if the Bobcats will continue to be dreadful and see if that pick gains value.

Yeah, should probably hold out for Love.

I think a lot of Chicagoans overvalue that Bobcats pick. It is protected until 2016? That's a long long time for a team to crawl out of the bottom. And there aren't many can't miss players that are drafted outside the top 3.

As long as Jordan is highly involved, I have hope that the Bobcats will be dreadful for years.

Anyone think Dwight Howard is a possibility for the Bulls now and if so, would anyone want him?

Nah. Dwight cited cold weather as a big reason he didn't want to come to Chicago. I'm sure the Lakers being in town on the coldest day of the year didn't help.

It's a good thing Brooklyn is such a mild place.

Dwight Howard is probably permanently broken and is a douche of the highest order. If we want to trade for an Lakers center, trade for Pau.

Ummm, no.

It's hard not to like Jimmy Butler.

Gotta keep him on the floor when Deng gets back. He's too good not to get 25-30 minutes a night.

Definitely no reason to keep sending Deng out there for 40+ anymore.

Brooklyn's winters are better than Chicagos. And obviously he has a love for NYC that he doesn't have for Chicago.
