That looks awesome

I will believe that Minneapolis will build that awesome thing only when I see it for myself. And not before.

Titans kinda sorta looking like a competent NFL team tonight. CJ looks a little better, but Hasselbeck looks awful.

Not to take anything away from the Titans because they played a good game, but I don't think the Steelers are all that good this year.

I agree, but as bad as the Titans have been this year, I'll take any positive I can get.

On the Ravens second touchdown did the same CB A) get called for illegal contact or something like that, B) fail to stop his man from catching a TD, C) get injured?

LOL. I'm about 15 minutes behind in the Raider game, but a Falcons player just hit Palmer's arm as he was throwing the ball with the ball pretty clearly going backwards. While they were showing replays, the idiot announcers were analyzing whether or not his hand was going forward with the ball, completely ignoring the fact that the ball went backwards which would make it a fumble regardless.

Tampa Bay's punter just recovered a blocked punt in the end zone and proceeded to desperately chuck a dead duck of a pass downfield which was picked off. Very entertaining.

The Raiders are back. 11 penalties today after only 21 in the first four games.

due to penalties, we were kicking off from the Philly 45, and we just opted to drill it through the end zone and take the touchback

that kind of unimaginative, conservative playcalling is really souring me on Schwartz

I'm glad Matt Bryant was allowed to take a practice kick before he attempted his game winning 55-yarder today. The Raiders called a timeout to ice him, though not right before the ball was snapped. Atlanta decided to snap the ball anyway at least five seconds after the timeout was called and Bryant took the kick (which he missed badly). He then made the second one.

It seems like there should be a penalty for that. Coaches get a penalty for throwing the red flag when it will be automatically reviewed. This seems like a similar type of thing. Sort of an unsportsmanlike or delay of game type of thing. The timeout was clearly called before they snapped the ball.

I didn't see just how much later than the TO they snapped the ball, but generally speaking, I'm ok with that play as a punishment to the coach for calling it so late. You're asking for that when you make that call

It was at least five seconds after they called the timeout. This was the traditional ice the kicker timeout rather than the "call a timeout a split second before they snap the ball" timeouts. No reason Atlanta should have snapped the ball there.

There's a distinct possibility that there could only be two AFC teams over .500 after this week.

Pittsburgh, Cincy, Indy all lost. If New England loses to Seattle and San Diego loses to Denver, only Baltimore and Houston will be over .500.

and Seattle in that scenario
