Can't give details, but I know he's considered one of our better pitching prospects. Decent upside I think, IMO better prospect than Loosen.

Take it away toonster, davell & Raisin.

a 1161 equals 235 OPS+? How boring is that league?

my god, there are only 2 eligible guys with an OPS over 900. You don't even go past the top 10 to see a guy below 800, top 25 to get below 700 and top 40 to get below 600.

A look at the minor league affiliate shuffle this offseason. Obviously the ones to keep an eye on are Daytona, Boise and, apparently, Peoria.

The Cubs left and came back to Peoria. I didn't expect their attendance to be that bad. There's plenty of history there and the area has tons of Cubs fans. I really liked them in Lansing. I can only really see them leaving Peoria if Kane County comes calling (say that 5 times fast). Not sure if they would do Cedar Rapids, with a team in Des Moines already.

Still really pulling for the Daytona Cubs to shift to the Carolina League. Would love to be able to catch some minors games at Potomac next year, although according to that list every team there is locked in til 2014. Womp womp.

I'm not sure how these things work, but there's currently a team in Gary IN, the South Shore Railcats, that don't have an affiliation with a major league team. I wonder if it is even possible for the Cubs to move in. I don't know for sure that the Railcats are equipped to accomodate an affiliated team at this point and who knows if the Cubs even want a team in downtown Gary.

Also, South Bend is an hour closer to Chicago than Peoria and there's plenty of Cubs fans sprinked throughout north central and northwest Indiana. It sounded to me, in the article Raisin posted, that South Bend may be exploring options to increase attendance.

If the Cubs were to move to either place, I'd be pretty happy to get the opportunity to see some more minor league ball.

Cubs switching to Kane County would be so freaking awesome.

is boise to Eugene even a possibility? The 2 contracts are up at the same time, that's the only reason to think that is possible?

Pretty much. Although I'm pretty sure the Cubs aren't thrilled with Boise's facilities.

I can't imagine KC leaving KC after only two years, though.

However, as a resident of Naperville, I fully endorse the move.

Those guys know far more than I do about a guys stuff. I'm pretty sure he tops out around 92-93, not aware of a true plus pitch for him. Probably a middle reliever upside, being realistic, back end starter as a hope. Obviously, a very solid signing for the 26th round(225ish?,can't remember bonus). I've asked Callis, Badler, Law, KG, etc about him. Badler responded, but just said looked like a nice pick. Honestly, I expected him in Daytona by now, so that may be a sign he's not been super impressive anyway, by itself.

Peoria Chiefs @peoriachiefs

With runners on corners, Soler grounds into a 5-2 fielders choice in first Chiefs at-bat. 1-0 Peoria mid 1st at Burlington.

Jensen is 90-93 with a good curve. If everything went right, I'd guess he could be a #3 starter.

Yeah, he was a 26th rounder out of a JC near Monterey, CA who got $225,000.
