How many FCS coaches are trying to get in touch with him at the moment?

Miami said to be the leader. They don't give a [expletive] about this sort of thing.

Tim Beckman, 8 assistants, and 3 million persian warriors are waiting in his parking lot as we speak.

They backed up a truck full of coaches.

2 - how far does Michigan fall in the rankings for week 2?

we're likely without Toussaint, so i can see us losing by a couple scores and falling to like, 14

but i can't help but wonder where we'll get slotted if we actually win

He's already back at practice after missing only a week.

doesn't mean he'll play

given his handling of Stonum and his ground rules, i don't see how Hoke starts Fitz

Who knows. But whether a RB starts or not isn't terribly significant if he plays about as much as he normally would.

The guy worked out at the team facilities and only missed a week of camp. Hoke is dodging the question of whether he'll play. So his actions make it at least as likely that he will play as that he won't.

Cause we all know academic cheating is right up there with child rape. That was one terrible attempt at finger pointing. Was the writer a PSU alumni?

I didn't post it because I was personally trying to compare it to the PSU situation. In fact, I don't really care about the author's smarmy tone.

I am curious to see if this gains any traction, though. Seems pretty egregious.

Then why post the article comparing it to psu instead of the dozens of articles about it?

This type of thing probably happens at most, if not all, major schools. It's funny how people are already trying to equate more normal violations with the PSU "precedent," though.

Happened to be the one I was reading at the time.

To address CubinNY's post: here will (hopefully) never be another violation as horrific as the PSU one, but if that is now the standard by which we punish people, no other school will ever be punished for anything again.

And if we assume every school has systemic academic fraud (and thus shouldn't worry about it), we might as well shut the NCAA down entirely.

It's not simply (a) give them the PSU punishment or (b) don't punish them at all. The PSU incident was an anamoly and shouldn't be looked at anything but that (certainly not some type of "standard").

Whatever UNC allegedly did is bad, but blow off classes are as old as the university system itself. UNC should be punished in a typical NCAA way for the severity of the infractions. Those infractions are not in the same universe as turning a blind eye to child rape.

The major college sport system is just so hypocritical, having worked a two FBS universities and graduated from 3, I can tell you the practice is rampent. There were "student"/athletes at both schools who were functionally illiterate.

It's almost like NASCAR, "if you ain't cheatin', you ain't tryin'"

Jordan Webb, formerly Kansas's QB, was named Colorado's starter this year. Here is his university bio.

Position: Quarterback

Height: 6'1"

Weight: 205

Year: Junior

Hometown: Union, Mo.

High School: Union/Kansas

Experience: Transfer

2010 (Fr.-RS)—He started seven games and played in nine overall, missing games eight through 10 after being injured against Texas A&M (which included the Colorado game where KU rallied with the aid of terrible Big 12 officiating for a 52-45 win). He completed 121-of-214 passes for 1,195 yards (7 TD/8 INT); in his first career start against Georgia Tech, he completed 18-of-29 for 179 yards and three touchdowns. He threw for over 200 yards twice: 249 versus New Mexico State and 228 against Kansas State. He played for a new Kansas head coach, Turner Gill.

the jerseys would be fine if they wore the normal gold helmets. not great jerseys, but not offensive. the helmet brings it down about 80 notches though.

the awful helmets are clouding your judgement. Those jerseys are terrible.
