I was looking to see if we had a Choi thread I could dig up, but NSBB came into existence just a little too late.

We had an epic Choi thread, but lost a portion of the database many moons ago.

No more shortened name nicknames, I can't take it. I won't go through the next 5-10 years hearing him called "Riz". We have Campy, Sori, Demp, Marm, Cassy (although I think only Quade used that maybe) and had Woody. Terrible. The only thing I still like about old school baseball terminology are some bad ass nicknames.

Woody was actually a lengthened name nickname.

Nobody beats The Riz

Aside from the Seinfeld episode, a slogan totally unknown outside of people who lived in an area in NY and around NYC in the 90s and late 80s

Actually, that's the first thing that came to my mind, and I've spent about a week total in NYC in my entire life.

Don't ask me why.

Wait...The Wiz was actually a real thing?!?

Haven't seen anything great yet, would prob give UM the lead with 'H to the Rizzo' but it's not really a nickname. Thinking more along the lines of something like Spanky, mentioned above, something just so gritty it would bury Ryan Theriot in the dirt.
