  1. I'm at the game, sitting in left field one section from foul pole. Right now, there's about 50% Cub fans in attendance.
  2. Tony
  3. Thank you all for your help. We ended up parking on the street about four blocks from the park. It saved me the expensive parking fares. I appreciate everyones insight.
  4. Thanks for the help. Does the shuttle run for weekday games? I noticed on the cubs.com website that the shuttle only runs on weeknights and weekends. The shuttle appears to be a great option.
  5. I'll be coming down I-90 from Beloit. I don't know if it's the easiest way down, but it's the only way I know. I actually from NC but am in WI on vacation (visiting family) and wanted to catch a game while I was close. I'm going to Miller park on Friday too.
  6. Hey everyone, I'm driving down from Wisconsin tomorrow and would like to know the best parking options. I've parked across from Wrigley before but didn't like being blocked in. What are my options? Also, is there a park and ride option where I could park my car somewhere and catch a train to wrigley? Thanks in advance for your help. I've been a few times but it's my wife's first trip.
  7. What's the knock on Tuberville? I don't think he's a candidate for KU, but I'd like him to be. Dude was 52-30 in the SEC and he was at the secondary football school in his own state. He won a bunch of division titles and had a good record against top ten opponents. I'd love for KU to make a run at him, personally, unless there's something I'm missing. The biggest knock on Tuberville is when Bama signed Saban, Tommy essentially quit on Auburn especially during recruiting. If you are talking Kansas, which I assume you are, I think he would be good there. KSU isn't Alabama, nor does he have to compete against a coach like Saban for in-state talent. So yeah, I think Tuberville would be a solid get for Kansas. From an Auburn fan, for the most part, Tuberville was great. Unfortunately, he didn't do well with recruiting once Saban got to Alabama. On the plus side, he put a lot of players into the NFL, rarely had a problem with his players getting in trouble, and ran a great program. He was a good in game coach that made excellent half time adjustments. His record against top-ten teams was amazing. With that being said, it was time for him to move on. His time was up. He had plenty of faults, but he'd be a great addition to a struggling program.
  8. Wow, I'm glad to share this night with you all. I'll never forget it
  9. I thought this was supposed to be on WGN, but DirecTv isn't showing it.
  10. I couldn't agree more. There are other players that are producing right now and they should have a chance to play. Fukodome needs to know that this is supposed to be a performance based gig. For exceptions, see Marquis, Jason.
  11. http://sports.yahoo.com/mlb/blog/big_league_stew/post/Morning-Juice-08-Cubs-to-84-Padres-mdash-q?urn=mlb,86002 Thought I would share this great comment from Yahoo's Daily Stew this morning.
  12. Rocking Mazzone Fired His rocking would get on my nerves. I guess if we were winning it wouldn't matter to me if he was picking his nose.
  13. Is it just me, or was that a gimme call on the last pitch of the game? Seriously, the ump hesitated then gave him the slow punch out. Its clear to anyone that watched that was a gimme call.
  14. Is there a way to listen online? I see that WGN Radio no longer broadcasts the games.
  15. I dont like him because his named is spelled wrong. Even though I know what it is, I always think its "Ch-own". It makes me mad. I cant deal with that for 162 games.
  16. I personally go with the gambler. If you don't win game 5, you don't have to worry about the next one. I make the elimination game the most important. I treat every game like it is the last. If you go with the gambler and win, then go with verlander, then go with ever. Always shoot your best bullet, or in this case, play your best hand. He held his ace and lost. Yes, verlander is good and won alot of games, but I go with Kenny.
  17. yep, his days as a yankee are numbered. See Sosa, Sammy.
  18. If, IF we get AROD, which I doubt we will, atleast until he is way past his prime. Anyways, if we got Arod, He would win the MVP. The wrigley pressure is great, but nothing like Yankee Stadium. I think he would do great. Is there anyone un-touchable? We wouldnt get rid of Lee, but I think anyone else could go. Would we risk getting rid of Rich Hill?
  19. Way to go arkansas. My two favorite teams won today. Auburn and whoever plays Alabama. I was as happy as any Razorback fan when I saw that final touchdown. What a beautiful catch for the T.D. Its hard to brag about a win over Buffalo, but a win is a win. Now if only USC would hurry up and lose. I'm tired of them. War Eagle.
  20. Today I am officially glad to eat my crow. Hmmm this crow is good. His recent results are exciting indeed.
  21. War Eagle! As for Auburn/LSU, man what a tough defensive battle. WOW, two teams with incredible defenses. I am seriously suprised that Auburn won, they tried to blow the game so many times. I expected Russell to drive down the field and lead them to a comeback victory. The pansy preventive defense Auburn played on the last drive is just ridiculous. Thats like kissing your sister. BS. I hate that crap. Stay with your strength. Pitchers are taught not to get beat on their 2nd best pitch, well, Auburn almost did. As for "THE" call. Lemme say I am thankful for it. Everyone knows LSU would have scored with a fresh 4 downs. Yes, the defender touched the player first. No argument there. However, maybe the ref thought that because the dude touched it there was no way he could have caught it. Not saying that is right, but that may have been his thoughts. Regardless. A great ball game. Auburn still has Florida, Georgia, and Alabama left. However, if USC wins and leapfrogs them, I am gonna be pissed. I hope that Auburn runs the table and USC is stuck at number 3 like Auburn was a few years ago.
  22. Thats one of the injuries that is hard to look at. Legs and knees are supposed to point that way.
  23. I needed to post so some Auburn Mojo could be in this thread. I hereby hope that all LSU mojo is used against them. It should be a good game. It is a tough rivalry as it is, with expectations of both of these teams this year, it should be a great game. I hope they all stay healthy and no one gets hurt. Here's to the Tigers. From Auburn that is. War Eagle.
  24. If you live in the south, its on Turner Sports South
  25. I have no Idea why the bolded would interest anyone, even considering Blanco's hot streak. Pierre would be wanted by a contender. Remember when the Red Sox picked up Dave Roberts for their world series run. I think all he did was run the bases. He stole a key base as a pinch runner that started the Red Sox comeback in the ALCS. That was pretty awesome, everyone knew he was stealing and he still made it. Anyways, someone will want him.
