Ghana is playing a very physical game. Also, they are really putting the heat on the czechs. Unfortunately, one slip up with those awesome czech strikers and the tides could turn very quickly.

Don't think of it as a tie. Think of it as getting a point. Good point, but its still a tie. They should all have to kiss their sisters. When I used to coach tournament ball, I wasnt happy with a tie, but it was better than a loss, plus you get points.

That was a great match by TnT. They really played exceptional defense, and did a great job considering the coach, controversy, playing a man down, etc... However, I know a tie is great in soccer, especially tournament play. But I cant be happy over a tie. A tie is like kissing your sister. But, they played a terrific match, and I'm glad they did well.

His fastball is pretty awesome, but man that curve is wicked. I love to see batters bailing out. Speaking of which, who remembers a few years back when Wood buzzed Biggio and then the next pitch threw a perfect 12-6 curve for strike three that had biggio bailing out like a sissy. LOL, that was sooo funny.

There is no way the cubs trade for mitre. If it happens, I will gladly eat my crow, but there is no way. If they do trade an extra 2nd baseman, I think it will be for low level prospects.

Props to ya for the toss back. I would never hesitate to throw one back. I wouldnt never consider the decoy. To live the rest of my life knowing that there was an asterick hanging over my head would too much to bear. I totally agree. Walk-Off should only be used when its a true walk-off win. A comeback win shouldnt count.

I didnt know Young had got called up until I was at the game yesterday. I did get to see him play last month though when I went to a game. Matthew Maniscalco, the SS for the bisquits is a friend of a friend, so it was nice to talk to him for a few minutes. I got some great pics at the game yesterday. I dont have a way of posting them, but if anyone wants the task, I could email them. Its a very old stadium and has that old feel. It was great. Its one of those places that you are just glad to say that you saw a game there. Also, none of that annoying stadium music between every pitch. I can count the number of times I said "CHARGE" yesterday, which was zero. # of idiots attempting to start the wave....Zero! That was great. LOL, also as we sang the 7th Inning Stretch, I yelled..."root root root for the CUBBIES"! and caused alot of people to look at me like I was crazy. But honestly, to be a cub fan and NOT say Cubbies in that song, well, that just makes you a pinko commie.

Once per year, White Sox AA Affilitate, The Birmingham Barons, holds a game there. They are playing the Montgomery Bisquits AA for the Devil Rays. They will be wearing the old throw back uniforms and everything. I'm pretty excited, I've always wanted to go but havent been. The park built in 1910 is the oldest park still in use in the US. I have one rule that I always, ALWAYS adhere to at the Barons games....Never root for the home team. That is like rooting for the white sox and well, that would just be blasphemy. I have a huge addiction/hobby for taking black and white photos, so hopefully I can get some good pics.

I really appreciate everyone posting in this. I will soon be posting, hopefully today, the email conversation that has stemmed from our original ballpark discussion. I will then post my thoughts, and his feelings. I will say, that we are both very convincing and I can honestly see both sides of the argument, but remain rock steady in my convictions. I am actually suprised at the actual numbers in the poll. More discussion please

So a buddy and I are having a discussion the other night at a AA baseball game. We have decided to allow NSB to settle the argument for us. To keep it fair, I will not say who has which opinion. Once the results are in, I will post who's opinion was who's, and relish in my victory. One of us says that it is OK for a man to bring a glove to the game and to wear it throughout the duration of the game in hopes of snagging a batted or thrown ball into the stands. Said person believes that any advantage you can gain, well, you should use to your advantage. Person said that if you are in the midst of other glove wearing men, then you should also have a glove, but went as far to say that if in the midst of children, then barehanded is the way to go The other says that a real man's man would never be caught dead with a glove on his hand. Pride is the motivating factor in this belief and no real man's man would stoop that low. Its a pride thing. This man believes that there is no chance of them asking you to come on the field as a late inning defensive replacement, and that if you can't catch it bare handed, well, dont try. This person of opinion see's it on the same level as peeking at the catcher, bunting during a no-hitter, and kicking another man in the balls. Only 2 options in the poll. No gray area. Yes or No ?

I definately saw him peek back in the game last night. I am surprised he didnt get a fastball to the face. Thats ridiculous, where is your pride Neifi? I can understand stealing signs, gaining advantage, but to peek at the catcher, well, thats low down, little league crap.

My paychecks dont cover my bills and I have to work side jobs (cut grass, paint, etc..)just to meet the bills. $5 per month is really not in my budget. I would love to be able to support Tim, and even emptied my pay-pal account to him at one point, but unfortunately that was only like 61 cents.

I love going to those games when the cubs are in ATL. I only live 1.5 hrs away, but am not going to be able to make it this year. I wish I had the money to go see the cubbies there.
