My friend was at the game. He said the HBP was just a slow curveball. I'm inferring more than he actually said, but I got the idea he thought Baez recognized it was a slow inside curve and let it hit him, that he could have gotten out of the way if he'd wanted to. Said Geiger's HR was as long as Baez's.

If the front office is to be believed, they *really* want everyone to get a full year at each level. I doubt there will be too many mid-season promotions.

What's an acceptable strikeout rate for a hitter like him?

Hitters with .300 isop can sustain a 25% k rate, though 20% is more where you'd want them.

As was said, 20% is really where you want to be. I can't imagine his numbers would be very impressive in an offense suppressed FSL with a 25% K rate.

Well, it looks like he's been right at 20% in his last 43 PA after being at almost 40% in his first 18.
