Are you 100% sure you aren't in some type of Truman Show-esque alternate reality

None of us can ever be 100% sure of that...

We're all part of a reality show called "Life", man.

on a different note, I went about 5 years as a kid where my brain instinctually processed the past tense form of "fake" as "[expletive]."

There's a past tense form of fake?

......

faked?

In-market streaming would be dope because I'm not sure I'll own another tv for the rest of my life

Yes, I am the edgy millenial that says I don't own a tv

Why would watching things only through streaming lead you to not having a TV

he's saying not owning a tv would lead to him needing to watch things through streaming

Oops, I was thinking as an adjective.

Yeah, I could see how you got confused.

Like, if I juked some kid on the football field I would instinctually want to say "I eff you cee kay him out" instead of "I faked him out." One could see how that would be a problem.

If you're going to drop $150-200(I imagine the price will shoot up once streaming is allowed absent a cable subscription) on mlb.tv, why not splurge another $300 to watch it on something bigger than your ipad?

First time I ever heard of "meme" thought it was pronounced "Mee Mee" or "May May". I may have eventually come around to the right pronunciation on this, but I'm still sticking with a hard G for gif, and [expletive] anyone that says different.

Glad I'm not the only one who thought it was me-me. I remember my wife laughing when I first used the word around her and correcting me.

You guys should read a book once in a while. Start with "the selfish gene" by Richard Dawkins.

Meme / gene. Pronounced the same.

my ex girlfriend would say it like "meh-m"

i hated that

I hope that's why you broke up with her

one of many reasons

somewhat related side note she dumped a beer on me at a cubs game this year...think it was a cubs/reds sunday night game in june. was at the game with a lady friend. right before the end of the 6th or 7th, i was sitting in the last row of the field boxes and out of nowhere i get a beer dumped on my head (could tell it was a 312 by the way my shirt smelled later, so that's a whole like $9). i look back and just barely see a couple of girls run down the stairs to the concourse and the aisle starts to get flooded with people heading for the bathrooms/concessions as the inning ends. i figured it was a random hit by some drunk idiot. guy in the front of the terrace section tells me it was some blonde girl. still didn't sound any alarms in my head. i wasn't all that upset about it as all i had to do was walk home and maybe shower. as we were walking back like 2 innings later (didn't want to sit through extras), i mention to my friend that there is only one person i know who that could possibly be (and she despised sports/baseball/cubs games) so it was almost certainly random.

literally two days later i'm at bww on clybourn for the wings special and run into the one couple of mutual friends i had with said ex. it's a couple and the wife works with my ex...i actually met her through them. first thing the wife says to me was, "so were you at the cubs game on sunday?"

i'm like "holy [expletive] it really was her!?" she's [expletive] crazy. mind you i didn't do anything particularly terrible to this girl to justify this other than break up with her. wasn't even a bad breakup (though she saw it that way because it was THREE WEEKS before her birthday - which i apparently ruined). also this was over 2 years before.

apparently she was seated like 2-3 rows behind me (which is funny because that's where my actual seats/seasons were) and got furious (these are the wife's words) when she saw me put my arm around my friend's seat.
