I'm sure you guys have noticed, but Rich Hill's last start was the fifth best pitchers game in the AL by game score. 23 IP, 3 R, 10 hits, 30 Ks and 2 walks. Won't matter next year but a good story for a guy who was pitching in the Atlantic League a month ago.

He threw 23 innings in one game? Wow

My Cardinals fan buddy texting me last night about how sports suck last night just made my weekend. He's been convinced for some time that the Cardinals aren't going to do anything in the playoffs, and Martinez going down, and Rosenthal's blow up last night just sent him right over the [expletive] edge. He's a good friend, and normally I wouldn't take joy in his pain, but [expletive] the Cardinals.

I don't know if I could be friends with a Cardinal fan. It might be a litmus test for me.

He'd have to have a great personality. Personality goes a long way. He'd have to be one charming mother [expletive] Cardinal's fan. I mean he'd have to be 10 times more charming Jon Hamm.

I've DATED Cardinals fans.

Never in October though, come to think of it.

I'm supposed to be marrying one next spring... pending how the next month goes, of course.

Dusty managing the Dodgers probably makes my favorite AAA pitching targets a bit more possible.

so is trayce thompson the next sox non-prospect that'll get talked about like he's an actual prospect?

steve stone wants to hand him the CF job over eaton next year...granted, they dont' have much to lose and he has done well this year.

i guess it worked out with magglio ordonez.

Yeah that's who needs replaced in the White Sox outfield, Eaton, the only above average player this side of Abreu in that offense. Give Thompson a shot, sure, but it should be at the expense of Garcia(who has more than a little in common with Thompson statistically) or even Melky, but not Eaton.

This is amazing

[My friend] said he was at Hooters, so I told him to stay there. I start walking down the hallway to leave and I look to my right and see the mascot dressing room. I thought, there’s no way this door is unlocked. I turned the handle and it opens right up and there’s the damned costume.

So, I suited right up, walked out the door and proceeded to Hooters. I walked right up into Hooters and my buddy didn’t even know it was me. I was ragin’ dude.

I left Hooters and there was a big line at Tilt next door. I just said, “Yo man, can I go in?” The guy said, “No,” and I was like, “Dude, You’re not gonna let Homer the fuckin’ mascot into your bar right now?” Then he said I could go in. There was nobody on the dance floor. I come sliding in and start getting it. I was doing all the moves you always wanted to try but are too embarrassed to.

Gillespie disputed the part of the police report claiming that he fled the ballpark, because no one else was there at that hour. He said he planned on returning the costume on Monday, but police arrived at his house Sunday night. Gillespie admitted that he got a lot of attention from the escapade. “I got like three numbers that night and have added like 20 chicks on Facebook,” he said.

Eaton is a solid player. I doubt Thompson winds up more than a 4th OF.

The WS are in their "Junior Lake has a serious chance!" phase.

Did he end up in the 1980s while he was passed out?

That stadium still looks so dark and creepy.

i think the renovations have it looking way better than the original 1991 design with the white metal, blue seats, and insanely steep upper deck, etc.

Nothing excites your fans about a new video board more than choosing Conor Gillaspie (who doesnt even play for the Sox anymore) to appear on your rendering which uses a photo of a 1/3rd filled ballpark.
