As of today, Ian Stewart actually has a higher OPS than Aramis Ramirez. (.637 to .623)

I'm going to have to print a fresh batch of fan club membership applications. I expect numbers to be growing very soon.

what happened to the Platoon Blake Dewitt and Ryan Flaherty Fan Club?

Creepy, oafish lummox or not, Bryan LaHair will likely spend his spring and summer getting more hot Wrigleyville ass than any of us could ever dream of, even if his pickup line is "LaHair like pretty lady good"

Somebody get LaHair a Baby Ruth. Let's go with that.

Sloth was a different kind of creepy. LaHair looks more...menacing and surreptitious.

Like Doug Hutchison crossed with the Child Catcher.

If his playing career bottoms out, he could have a future as a windowless van driving stereotype working as a janitor at an elementary school.

There were 0 bleacher tickets available on stubhub this morning, after there were ~500 available yesterday. I'm intrigued as to what happened there. Ambitious broker trying to make 5-10 on each one? But then why buy all the way up to the most expensive tickets? (Cheapest tickets yesterday bounced from 8-15 bucks)

500 were available for yesterday's game or available yesterday for today's game? The weather is going to be nicer in Chicago today, the team has won a couple games and a popular pitcher is on the mound. I know there were boatloads of great seats available for the Sunday Phillies/Cubs game and then on Sunday morning the really good ones were gone.

Both. I check out the prices for fun fairly often, there is literally never a point where there are 0 tickets available for the bleachers. It didn't take long for a few cheap sets to pop up, followed by a market correction, and now you have 8 tickets going for $50-99, while all other seats stay around the cost that yesterday's were going for.

As cheap as tickets have been this year, I'm probably going to go once a week.

I'm sure that'll change if the team gets closer to .500 and hangs around there...but for now, I'll take it.

The secret to being right is to diversify your portfolio. You can't just have one opinion.

Your sarcastic Ian Stewart bandwagon is going to turn into a genuine one soon.

Sarcastic?

In the young month of May, Stewart's at .368/.429/.737. That's like Bryan LaHair numbers.

Soto's been .294/.368/.647.

Fun fact: Alfonso Soriano has been both the worst hitting LF and the best fielding LF in the majors this season, and the only major league LF regular that has yet to hit a home run (Chone Figgins has 2).
