A bit of a random question, if LaHair is really hitting when we want to call up Rizzo, do we move him to LF and try to dump Alfonso?

I'm pretty sure the cubs are going to try to dump soriano regardless of what lahair is doing.

Anything is possible, I guess, but LaHair would be brutal in LF. We'll probably just ship him out for whatever we can get.

I can't see them hanging on to Byrd that long if he's playing that poorly. What sucks is that he has no value at all besides being a good clubhouse cheerleader. They have Campana who they can call back up,along with Reed Johnson and Brett Jackson waiting in the wings who I would love to see up because even if he struggles, it's no worse than Byrd out there.

Obviously, I meant that would they maybe try a little extra and settle for less if LaHair was hitting. I am not a LaHair fan for the record, I was just more curious what we do if he's crushing everything when Rizzo is ready.

Hows Shark looking? 43 pitches through 2 isn't exactly the recipe for another 8.2 inning game, so we'll probably have to rely on the *gasp* bullpen for a few.

He's been excellent. 9 batters faced, 3 K, 6 balls in play (none line drives iirc), no HR, no BB. Just had three of those six be ground ball singles.
