Bo owns Crean.

 

Ryan went 4-3 against Crean while Crean was at Marquette. Counting last year's sweep -- neither of which was in Bloomington -- he's 6-3 against Crean (which, I suppose, is close to "owning" depending on one's definition). Counting games against Crean's first three awful IU teams that everyone owned is entirely specious for this purpose.

 

I love ignoring data points in an already small data set.

 

Are you serious? You think you're the one that's being reasonable? Those "data points" are worth absolutely nothing. Indiana went three years without beating Wisconsin, Michigan State, Ohio State, or Purdue. Or, for that matter, Lipscomb or Northeastern. It's an absurd obfuscation without any contextual relevance to, well, anything. None of those games had anything to do with Ryan "owning" Crean; they had everything to do with Crean rebuilding and IU having awful, laughable bad teams. Unless you're going to get all excited about Ryan "owning" whoever the coach at UW-Milwaukee is (Rob Jeter).

Shitty loss. Can't lose a game like this at home. Wisconsin just doesn't allow outside shooting and IU wasn't able to spread the floor and lost patience sticking with Zeller and Watford inside.

Sure, 7-3 is getting close, if not all the way there. But this does not change the fact that extrapolating anything from Crean's first three years at IU is specious.

I think it's time to start evaluating if I'm an "IU hater" or if this team is actually all that good. Besides pounding crap teams, there's the win over Minnesota -- which sure felt like a loss to me. Slow the game down, make it a grinder, and viola, you beat Indiana.
