A little late, but I've been pretty busy lately.

I finally understand what snood means when he says that Mizzou mugs at least one guy on every possession. I have no idea how they get away with all the hand checking, reaching and even knocking guys down.

I am so tired of the NCAA giving cover to Mizzou. When will it end?

They know the refs won't call everything. So hack away.

Must be institutionalized upon admission, since that's been Snood's refrain across two coaches and rosters that have exactly 2 holdovers from the previous year. Mizzou is more physical underneath this year though, since they actually have some size to throw around. They're treading dangerously close to being a Frank Martin Murderball offense at this point.

5 of their guys have teardrop tattoos on their faces. no way bowers is a day under 30 and oriakhi is from parts unknown. i think the only player they have that looks like he belongs on a college basketball court is pressey.

And he showed it with his MVP 2 for 38 shooting night on Saturday.

I believe the headline read: "World's worst 12/7/11 perfromance carries Mizzou past godless chuckers"

Trying to come up with some Big Ten predictions. Feel pretty confident in IU and Michigan as the top two and Purdue, Northwestern, PSU, Nebraska as the bottom four. 3-8 are pretty damn tough to sort out at this point.

Single game pairings.

So in other words if Matt Painter had taken the Mizzou job he would have fit in perfectly since that is how Purdue has played defense under his guidance! :-"

seriously though we need a guy with a teardrop tattoo that can shoot the three... Byrd has gone to [expletive] since he gave up drinking.

So is he gonna ever get another chance to talk [expletive] to Meyers Leonard again? Surely he's going to make the league?

Haha, great comparison. 6' 5" three-point specialist versus an athletic true 7 footer. Byrd wasn't wrong when he called him soft... he is soft.

ESPN ran a stat a few issues back. I don't recall it exactly but somewhere around 17% of all 20-40 year old males in the US that are 7' tall are in the NBA. When you figure in Leonard's athleticism he would have to just about try not to make the league...

Leonard's true test is whether he puts his All-Star genetics to their full use and gets a max contract in a few years...

What I heard there is Meyers Leonard has taken dumps with more talent than DJ Byrd. Possibly soft ones. Byrd is a clown that has no business running his mouth about an NBA lottery pick. One who is playing quite well at a level that DJ Byrd, or no one from that Purdue team will ever sniff.

he may have a lower Rebound Rate than Kwame Brown, and he may enjoy a good cry, but he's certainly not soft!

Where did DJ Byrd come in on that list? I guess more importantly DJ Byrd is hard though, I heard he was hard as a rock when he was arrested for public intox.

Haha, you crack me up. Byrd really hit a nerve with Meyers, and you. I mean, why trash talk a guy that's soft? Maybe it will affect his game? Maybe it did? Maybe nobody from that Purdue team had Meyers talent, but they beat him every time they played him I'm pretty sure.

I'm sure they did, we were kind of terrible for a bit now. Just looked it up we haven't beaten you in 7 tries. Yet Izzo cried about us firing weber.

The Byrd thing hit a nerve because he's trash. Had hummell said it, it would have been funny. You know because he could actually play. Byrd is awful and as such should shut his mouth.

He actually had a really nice season let year and was 6th Man of the Year in the B1G. 41st in the nation in Pomeroy's offensive rating and shot 43% from three. That's not trash. He's a nice role player on a good team. Purdue's just not good this year so he's trying to be something he's not.

Edit. Plus being chippy and annoying is part of his game. He pisses people off and they retaliate. He's not as good at it as Kramer was though, lol.

So he's an ok college player, the guy he's running his mouth on was a lottery pick. He was a better college player than Byrd too, IMO. Thus I think for byrd to be running his mouth about him is pathetic.

Oh come on, you can't talk trash to more talented guys now? Those are the guys that draw the most talking. Especially if it affects their game which it clearly did with Leonard.

I would say what affected Meyers game the most was our idiot coach having him 19 feet from the basket at all times. It just bugs me he thinks he can run his mouth to a guy that much better than him.

Wow, Iowa really lucks out this year. Average for Illinois I suppose.
