He actually had a really nice season let year and was 6th Man of the Year in the B1G. 41st in the nation in Pomeroy's offensive rating and shot 43% from three. That's not trash. He's a nice role player on a good team. Purdue's just not good this year so he's trying to be something he's not.

So he's an ok college player, the guy he's running his mouth on was a lottery pick. He was a better college player than Byrd too, IMO. Thus I think for byrd to be running his mouth about him is pathetic.

 

Oh come on, you can't talk trash to more talented guys now? Those are the guys that draw the most talking. Especially if it affects their game which it clearly did with Leonard.

I would say what affected Meyers game the most was our idiot coach having him 19 feet from the basket at all times. It just bugs me he thinks he can run his mouth to a guy that much better than him.

 

It's not as if he implied that he he was a better player than Leonard. I'm seriously baffled that you still bring this up.

From a far distance, I was kinda skeptical of Bill Self outside of his recruiting prowess, but it's pretty obvious that he's come into his own as a HOF type of coach that is entering his prime. Big statement, yes, but it's hard to argue with the results- 8 or 9 consecutive conference titles and 2 final fours? Not bad.

Yeah he's a slam dunk hall of famer. I still hold out hope he decides to go try his hand in the NBA. Mostly because I am a fan of his and can't bring myself to cheer for Kansas.

Ha, sorry, got previous jobs mixed up. Illinois-Wesleyan is actually quite a nice campus. I commuted down there to teach for 9 months back in 2003.
