Cashner just got hurt warming up between innings and was removed from the game.

"Just" a strained lat, apparently.

Rammy hit a walk off for the Brewers tonight. The Brewers were down 12-11 with 2 outs in the bottom of the 10th and Ramirez went deep to save the game.

They were up 9-2 at one point, and like 11-5 as well.

All I could think about when he came up to bat was 2007 when he hit that walk off bomb against the Brewers after the Brewers were up 5-0 in the first thanks to a Kevin Mench opposite field homer off Rich Hill.

Not that I am upset about that game or anything...

Where on earth did this Mike Fiers guy from the Brewers come from? Entering today, he had 41/8 BB/K with a 2.29 ERA and 1.068 WHIP. Today, he pitched 7.1 with 2 ER and 9/1 BB/K. He was a 22nd round pick in '09 and never sniffed the top 100. I kind of wish the Brewers were contending so we could try to get him for Dempster.

After he takes the mound tonight, Zack Greinke will have started each of the last three games for the Brewers.

Kevin Goldstein's enthusiasm for weird baseball is pretty funny when it actually comes about.

WOW...one strike from the win, Kenley Jansen turned his back to the plate between pitches and Everth Cabera stole home on him, and Jansen threw it away in the process, giving up the go-ahead run

I think even better than the play itself were the reactions of the fans as the play was happening. There was some dumb woman jumping up and down thinking the Dodgers had won because the ump said the runner was out initially. Then there were a couple of guys having meltdowns. Hilarious.
