Sulley took the Seahawks like 6 pages ago

He did volunteer for them. I misread his later post, though, thinking he wanted the Texans instead of the Seahawks. If he still wants the Seahawks, he's got them though.

I'll also update everybody else as well. Raw, if you want the 49ers, you can have them.

Sorry, just saw your post. You've got the 49ers and raw has first dibs on the Jags if he wants them.

raw has the Jags and I've given myself the Redskins. We are now full and can begin the mock draft. I'm going to keep the pick limits at 24 hours because of oddball schedules and simplicity's sake.

I'll go ahead and post the first round order on the first post of the thread and the Colts can make their selection at any time.

Posted

I'll try to remember to do this each time I update this thread to help people remember if their pick is coming up soon. Here are the next 3 picks following the Colts:

2. Redskins (dew)

3. Vikings (hawkeye)

4. Browns (gorbs27)

This way hopefully if a person/war room feels they won't be available in the likely timeframe to make their pick, they'll PM me (or a mod) their top 3 choices.

Well, the Colts say they haven't decided yet, but I don't think anybody believes them. With that in mind and at the risk of speaking for Exile here, I'll just move this along and say the Colts pick Andrew Luck, QB from Stanford. I'll PM dew for the next pick.

A lot of people have said the easiest selection to make in this draft is the first pick and Andrew Luck. I disagree, as I think the Redskins' selection is the easiest - they simply have to write down the name of whichever QB the Colts don't take.

Therefore, the Redskins select Baylor QB Robert Griffin III. Not only is he a terrific talent, but he's almost as perfect a fit as you can get for Shanahan's bootleg offense. I think RGIII can really thrive in this offense and despite all of the drama going on in Washington, I think this is the best spot for him to succeed as well.

hawkeyecub and the Vikings are now on the clock. I'll PM him.

Ha, yeah. The Colts pick is a mortal, ahem, Luck . . .

The next 3 picks following Minnesota:

4. Browns (gorbs27)

5. Buccaneers (minnesotacubsfan)

6. Rams (Formerly Snayke)

If you're on this list, you can figure your pick will come up sometime in the next 24-72 hours. If you may not be available to make the pick, PM me (if you haven't already) a list of 3-4 players and I can make your pick.

Ha ha. That was intended as a groaner.

Not much to talk about here, unless someone offers a big trade package, Kalil is the guy. They'll talk about how much they like Claiborne and Blackmon but everyone sees through it.

With the 3rd pick, the Minnesota Vikings select Matt Kalil, LT from USC.

Next 3 picks after Cleveland:

5. Buccaneers (minnesotacubsfan)

6. Rams (Formerly Snayke)

7. Jaguars (rawaction)

Again, if anybody isn't sure they'll be available to make the pick, shoot me a PM with your top 3 choices.

It may be tempting to go with Justin Blackmon or Ryan Tannehill, but for my money this is a fairly easy decision. Knee injuries are always a concern, but the young man has too much talent to pass on.

With the fourth selection the Cleveland Browns select Alabama RB Trent Richardson.

The draft will really get interesting starting with the Browns' pick. Luck/RGIII/Kalil is a pretty obvious 1/2/3, but then the Browns could go 4 or 5 different directions and which way they go could completely change the draft.

Next 3 picks:

7. Jaguars (rawaction)

8. Dolphins (ManCrushOnNomar)

9. Panthers (Andy)

Again, if anybody isn't sure they'll be available to make the pick, shoot me a PM with your top 3 choices.

It won't surprise me at all if Minnesota trades down from 3. I can see Miami trading ahead of Cleveland to take Tannehill. Minnesota needs a bunch and if they can add a future 1st or a 2nd and 3rd, I can see them passing on Kalil, moving back and maybe settling for Reiff or taking BPA at that point.

I've heard rumors that the Rams might have an interest in moving back up to Cleveland's spot to grab Blackmon. I suppose the Browns would then choose between Tannehill and Richardson.

It wouldn't shock me to see Minnesota trade down, I don't think, but it's really hard to pass on a probable (for the draft) franchise LT like Kalil.

A lot of fans want that, especially if they only move down a handful of spots or less where they would have a shot at Reiff, Blackmon (not as likely) or Claiborne.

They do have a ton of holes so it all depends on the package that they're offered, but Kalil has been the clear best non-QB in the draft for months, they have a gaping hole at LT and it's a premium position.
