I think it definitely makes the game experience better. There are 2-3 times each game where I'm dying to see a replay.

any replay you are dying to see will not be shown on the jumbotron. Do you people think it's like some giant personalized RedZone channel or something? Have you ever actually seen a jumbotron in use at a stadium?

How dare you deny the paying public such gems as bad dancing and kiss cam.

People have been waiting for years to know the words to take me out to the ballgame. Need a jumbotron if you want to take the 7th inning stretch to the next level.

Or the lyrics to "Go Cubs Go".

They already show the lyrics on the small board below the CF scoreboard

Welp, I really don't go to other baseball stadiums, so :-k I'm really not sure.

Do the donut races and kiss cams actually bother people?

Just seems like people are whining for no reason, its not like they do that crap during the middle of plays.

I've been to tons of baseball games with the races, and dancing, and kiss cams, not to mention 20 bulls games a year where they pretty much have a circus on the court between timeouts.

None of these things have ever bothered me, annoyed me, or stopped me from enjoying/watching the games.

Its stuff for the kids to enjoy, do I really care to see donut races.. no. But I dont see why it pisses people off so much.

I love that we're getting a screen. It'll be awesome to have sweet highlight montages before the game, big plays getting replayed, tons of stats, and other stuff like that.

Plus they obviously provide revenue.

You said it with Bulls games. It's a straight up circus during commercials and, while at times annoying, it hasn't affected my enjoyment of the game at all.

What I do hate is when those people are running around telling different sections to make noise for no reason in particular.

I enjoy games at Wrigley so much more than Safeco which is a really nice stadium but also a circus between each half inning. I get the revenue benefit but I prefer MLB games without all the crap.

Well you won't get many. Any "controversial" call that might show up an umpire won't be shown.

Yeah if you want a jumbotron for all those great replays and that's going to improve your experience then you'll be disappointed. You'll see some HRs and a guy catch a foul ball while holding his beer.

I want to see replays of good plays. I don't really care about replays of controversial plays because showing them on the big screen wouldn't alter the outcome at all...it'd just incite stupid behavior.

Yeah well, you won't. After a good play you'll look up at the scoreboard, and it will be flashing something about the play, then go into an advertisement.

I've been to other parks plenty, including Miller, the Cell, and GABP. They show replays of good plays.

As for the pregame montages, they're actually doing those already on the RF board. Saw it on Saturday. Pretty sweet.

It doesn't offset the negative that I think comes with the jumbotron - the pumping music and crap every half inning like you're at a minor league park. That's a lot of fun a couple times a year with kids at the minor league parks. But I like watching ML baseball without all that crap. Maybe I'm in the minority but I loved that about Wrigley. Outside of Sweet Caroline it may have been the only thing I liked about Fenway.

Edit: didn't word that well. Sweet Caroline is the only time the atmosphere at Fenway reminded me of a minor league park. Other than those few minutes I liked the atmosphere.

Jock Jams volumes 1, 2 and 4.

Plus the absence of a JumboTron hasn't prevented Wrigley from blasting terrible music in recent years.

This.

You'll get live, up close video of the celebrity singing take me out to the ballgame. And maybe a movie clip of whatever they're promoting.
