And the Green Bay Packers are no longer reigning Super Bowl champs. All is right in the non baseball world.

MVP's and 2011/12 season division championships are more important anyways.

There were people already making that case. It's dumb but that's the way some people think.

Better, imo

Better in terms of magnitude of the situation or better in terms of difficulty of the catch? I think the Tyree catch was better because:

1) It was 3rd down instead of 1st down and if Manning had taken the sack it would have been 4th and long with the game on the line.

2) There was 1:15 left, not 3:46. If the Giants had failed to score on that drive, there was still a possibility they could get the ball back.

3) They were down 4 in 2008, not 2. They had to score a TD to win.

4) Pats were 18-0 so there was more at play than just a SB victory.

With Bob Costas apparently leading the way.

Betting Skip Bayless won't be too far behind.

Eli is well on his way to being a hall of famer. Not sure why you nerds are raging.

I'm not sure about that. How many QB's do you let in from this era? Brady and Peyton are locks. Roethlisberger has a better argument than Eli to be in the HOF at this moment. Brees has just as good of case and maybe better than Eli. Then you have the QB's just before this era (Favre, possibly Warner) and the guy who's on his way (Rodgers). That's a lot of QB's.

Brees is MAYBE better than Eli?? Holy isht, two more seasons for Brees at his current pace and he is a lock.

Brees at age 32 is already Top 10 in most all-time QB stats and as we know has handfuls of single season records. Eli is nowhere near any of those milestones.

Including his San Diego stats I can maybe see a possible argument though since Brees went to New Orleans he's been an elite QB. His Saints years are so good though that I would think he'd have to be a Hall of Famer.

I can't really see an argument for Eli aside from rings but I don't care about that though I'll admit I don't know the resume of every QB in the hall of fame.

He has a lot of years ahead of him. He's on track is my point. So is Roethlisberger.

Brees is definitely better than Eli. I was trying to be as fair as Eli as I could by saying that Eli's case could be as good as Brees when they're done (Brees is a couple years older than Eli). I personally don't think they're on the same level, but I could see a reasonable argument being made for Eli that he could get close.

seriously. Rings will get Eli in the hall faster than any stats. It's what matters to the voters, not a question of whether he actually deserves it or not.

People are really bashing the halftime show, but I thought Drea de Matteo did a pretty decent job lip syncing all of those terrible songs.

He has a lot of years ahead of him. He's on track is my point. So is Roethlisberger.

I don't think he is though. The best finish he's had in QB rating is 7th-this year (I'm not tied to QB rating and prefer other statistics, but it's a decent aggregate statistics). He's never been one of the elite QB's in any single year. If you want to talk about leading his team to wins, the Giants have finished 8-8, 10-6, and 9-7 the last 3 years and he has a career 69-50 record. He has played well in the playoffs in two different years and has been a good QB otherwise. And he only has maybe 3-4 years left in his prime? He's been in the league for quite a while now.

Meanwhile, Roethlisberger is over a year younger, has better statistics across the board, has won more, also has 2 SB titles, and has 2 finishes among the top 5 in QB ratings. He's better in every category than Eli.

Pretty sure Eli has more yards and tds than Roethlisberger, but maybe you don't count those categories?

He has 600 more pass attempts too so I wouldn't really put much stock into that.

And Ben has more Super Bowl appearances, does that mean his 2/3 is worse than Eli's 2/2?

Stats are stats, categories are categories. Hank Aaron had about 3,000 more plate appearances than Ruth, should we consider Ruth as leading Aaron in total HR because of it?

It's a lip sync act. She doesn't really know any different. Suffice it say I'm glad it's not my style of music.

I guess if you like dance routines and pre-recorded music that people pretend to perform, you like this.

It boggles my mind that for the #1 TV sporting event for 18-49 year old men, they keep picking performers that would alienate that audience. Yeah, they've had U2 and Springsteen and Petty, which were okay, but why trot out Madonna or Britney or Janet Jackson? Makes zero sense

I don't really care about either players Super Bowl appearances when it comes to evaluating each player.

And there is a reason counting stats have less value than other stats.

The halftime show is not necessarily aimed at football fans, it(along with the cult around the commercials) is aimed at getting non-football fans to endure the game as well.

I never really understood why people got worked up over the halftime show.
