i've got a pretty good feeling about this game

Fairley and Suh were dominating in the Panthers game, and the one proven sure way to slow an elite passer is to collapse the pocket; if Young & LoJack can suit up too, it'll go a long way toward being able to consistently do that

K-Smoove's re-emergence could be huge, in that our perfunctory play action attempts won't be so laughable anymore

Yeah, I'm concerned about the well-being of Rodgers in this one. Your front four destroyed our offensive line the last time we met and we're without Clifton on Thursday. That said, the interior of our line is better than it was in that game, but Sitton's going to have to find a way to control Suh.

Meanwhile, besides Matthews (and Bishop whenever he's sent free), we can't generate any consistent pressure on the QB at all.

Should be entertaining, but I forsee a loss either on Thursday or against the Giants the following week. A team that can generate pressure with a four man front is really the only way to slow Rodgers down right now and both of those teams can do that.

You'll beat the Lions.

I agree with everything here but both the Chargers and the Vikings threw out strong pass rushes against us and while Rodgers took his lumps he adjusted and still shredded those defenses. The level he's at right now, I don't know if anyone can slow him down. Plus I'll take our chances against anyone indoors.

Return of the Playoff Machine.

I love this thing. If the team higher ranked in defense wins every game the rest of this year...

Broncos finish 10-6 and win AFC West

Lions finish 13-3 and get the #2 seed

Packers lose out and get the 5th seed at 10-6

Seattle is the 6th seed at 9-7. I'm assuming Bears at 9-7 losing the tiebreaker to Seattle and on outside looking in.

There's a tiebreaker button you can click to show you how those shake out.

And the standings are at the bottom. By defensive rank, the Bears would be 8-8 and out of the playoffs.

You can also just clear all the presets out, and pick each game on your own.

The defense scenario is the only preset scenario where the Bears are on the outside looking in.

Although Calvin Johnson might set the single-game receiving yards record against our crappy defense.

I'm not worried about the Colts game just because I don't think they can stop Cam, but I still wouldn't be surprised if Carolina finds a way to lose. Only favored by 4 though, if you're more confident than I, that's a good bet.

On the other side of things, if the higher ranked team in offense wins every game...

Broncos lose the remaining six games while the Chargers win all six.

Raiders and Chargers both go 10-6 and make the playoffs.

Lions would go 8-8 and miss the playoffs.

Also, if you go by winning percentage, there will be seven ties in the last six weeks, three of which would involve Buffalo.

Why are the Bears losing to the Seahawks in the ideal scenario?

I'd imagine because it was the only way to get the Seahawks to a good enough record to knock the Saints, Packers, and Giants out. If you have the Bears win that game Green Bay becomes the 6 seed and would face the Bears in the divisional round if they won.

Ahh, yeah...that makes sense. I guess if I had gone ahead and changed that result I'd have answered my own question.

I am more worried about Rodgers health going into this game then I am about winning. The Lions are the dirtiest team in the league and I guarantee Suh will try to cheap shot Rodgers once or twice.

The Lions aren't dirty, just misunderstood.
