This wasn't as much a football game as it was an inevitable march towards what we already knew: green bay is king and Detroit really isn't special.

I am excited to see Saine more often on 3rd downs. Change of pace speed.

He's shown more burst today than Grant's shown all year. It must suck to be an aging RB.

Starks on 1st and 2nd, Saine on 3rd. Kuhn for short yardage.

(Even though Grant is better then both Starks and Saine on picking up the blitz)

I'm kinda getting tired of Suh having the maturity of a ten year old.

He needs to sit for at least a game, and be fined at least $100,000. There is NO need for that crap. None whatsoever. And I'd say the same thing if it would have been Clay Matthews doing it to a random Lion.

Oh he just lost his balance. Ok that's a reasonable excuse. I feel so bad criticizing him now.

Love that excuse. He had two hours to sit and think about it and that's what he came up with?

He'd gain favor if he would just say that he lost his cool and messed up. Instead he sounds like an idiot.

Suh doesn't realize that two offensive lineman are going to high-low him and ruin his season or career if he keeps up at this. He stupidity is hurting his team because the Lions are in a playoff race and are probably going to be without him for a game.

I am more worried about Rodgers health going into this game then I am about winning. The Lions are the dirtiest team in the league and I guarantee Suh will try to cheap shot Rodgers once or twice.

how many dirty plays or cheap shots were there in the teams' two meetings last season?

Like I was saying. Glad they got rid of him before he could do worse damage.

The thing I do not get about Suh's behavior is whether it can be said that he is playing the same way he in college or if his time under Jim Schwartz is beginning to rub off on him.

After the incident today I looked up a few old scouting reports and every one said how low key, quiet, and mature he was while he was at Nebraska. Another major selling point was that he was considered a leader of the defense and a role model for the younger players on the team. His time in Detroit he has displayed none of that.

On the other hand, dirty play has a strange tendency to follow Schwartz wherever he goes. When he was in Tennessee they had developed a reputation as a dirty team, with Albert Haynesworth's stomping on Andre Gurode's head being the most significant example of such play. Now that he is Detroit, players who previously never exhibited signs of dirty play are doing so. This obviously does not excuse what Suh did today, but I do not think it helps when he has a coach that at best condones such play and at worst encourages it.

Although there is no way to prove it I think if Suh were to get out of Detroit and work with coaches who demand discipline from their players it would have a dramatic effect on the manner in which he plays. But there is no way to know for sure.

Suh expected to be suspended at least two games for the stomp.
