Well, that's unexpected. maybe we'll get lucky and they'll sign Sandberg lol.

Seems like this news would be on sportscenter they seem to be slow on the uptake these days.

I wonder if this has anything to do with Albert?

Or vice-versa.

Finally Cardinals fans can go back to watching their team assuming they can pry their eyes away from preseason CFL games.

Not unless he specifically apologizes for his involvement in the Rasmus trade.

This was my thought. Maybe Albert told him he's not coming back no matter what.

Lots of signs pointing to him leaving, he asked Tony to sign a photo from his rookie year before game 6. That doesn't sound like someone who was planning on being together much longer.

What about Dave Duncan? I feel he's much more responsible for the Cards success than LaRussa.

What if the Cardinals make a push for Sandberg just to further piss us off?

I'd be surprised to see him back between LaRussa going and some health issues his wife is having.

I don't really get the impression that most of us think LaRussa is at all responsible for their success in any significant way, to begin with.

He hasn't been with the team in months since his wife has a serious brain tumor(as if there's any other kind). I'd have to say it's a longshot he returns to St. Louis.

Then they're sadly mistaken.

Was that his evil twin making mound visits the other night? He's been with the team on and off while that's been going on.

I thought the talk for a while was that Duncan was only going to keep coaching so long as he was working with TLR.

I don't really want Sandberg to manage the Cubs, but I'd be annoyed if the Cardinals went out and got him. Not that they wouldn't have every right to.
