If I heard correctly, Theo is supposed to be on with Waddle and Silvy within the hour.

They just did a rundown of their guests for the next hour + and I didn't hear Theo's name.

Wherever Theo goes, he is the host.

Craig Shipley, International Scouting Director for 9 years with Boston, left his job yesterday, No word on why or where he winds up, but I would think there's a relatively decent chance he winds up with us in some capacity. As for the rest of the Boston guys, it looks like they made a rash of promotions today, so Theo bringing anyone else over from there seems very unlikely now.

With the ridiculous demands the Sox have thrown out as compensation for Theo, it's good to see somebody else doing the same with them.

From MLBTR:

We recently heard from FOX Sports' Ken Rosenthal that the Red Sox asked the Blue Jays about Toronto manager (and former Sox pitching coach) John Farrell. According to David Waldstein of the New York Times (Twitter link), the Jays asked for Clay Buchholz in return. As Rosenthal wrote, "the Sox never considered it likely that the Jays would engage in serious discussions about Farrell, and the conversations failed to progress," which isn't at all surprising if Buchholz was the asking price.

Of course, the first post made in reply to this nugget being posted on SOSH is: "So Theo should be worth more."

Fitting. It's almost as if the Jays were mocking Boston for their ridiculous demands for Theo.

"Loosely, we've loosely defined a strategy of talking at some point in the near future," Cherington said.

They basically don't even care about it anymore.

Once Garza and Castro turned into Cashner and Brett Jackson which turned into McNutt and Szczur which turned into Colvin and Jay Jackson which turned into Matt Camp and Justin Berg they just said to hell with it. Maybe we can just pay for Lackey and Daisukes surgeries and call it even.

I couldn't get much further, the nicknamification became too exhausting.

? There wasn't a nickname in the title...

Which is why he said "much" further, instead of "any" further.

4 sentences in and there's this, "Boy-quarium of Lesser GMs", and right below that there is this:

■the loss of the vast majority of our power (g'bye, Aram. Toodles, Pena)

■the re-instatement of the Big Lawnmower, scourge of Gatorade machines everywhere

■the retirement of the salaries of Aram, Pena, Fukudome, Silva the Hutt

I find over and over that those chicagonow links off the trib site and just ridiculous.

No, but the article was full of them. I like to think that I follow the Cubs closely enough that if I have to stop and think "who is he talking about?" three times in the span of two paragraphs, then the writer is probably trying too hard.
