The Ricketts' family was there to greet Epstein in anticipation of his introductory press conference at 11 a.m. on Tuesday in the United Club at Wrigley.

I hope he doesn't look at Hendry's old office and fly back to Boston :-$

Maybe the Triangle Building project will finally get underway, after all ...

I wonder how Bud would go about choosing fair compensation in terms of players. How much knowledge can he really have about the Cubs minor league system. I wouldn't be shocked if it's him making the call that it comes down to cash. Which would be [expletive] incredible btw.

yeah, the valuation of individual players is just impossible here. even if bud had encyclopedic knowledge of the cubs' system, he wouldn't necessarily value players the same way as the red sox. and even more problematic is the fact that the cubs and red sox likely don't value the cubs' prospects the same, so a third party intervening would very likely lead to a result that one side liked a lot more than the other.

the best solution by far is the two sides coming to an agreement. or just using cash, as much as the red sox don't want to do it.

Yes and I'd have to think he already saw where is offices would be when he interviewed with Ricketts a few weekends ago. Just having some fun. Can't wait until 2PM tomorrow. That presser should be at least an hour long with all the local and national media there.

I would not be shocked to see this man there as well.

It's possible this is the first time he's even in town through all of this. The meetings with the Cubs brass reportedly happened in NY.

Not gonna lie. I was so ready to reply to this in mocking fashion until I saw who posted it.

Hmm, I did not know that. That said, I think he has seen the offices based on him being in town a few weekends ago. And I can't wait to hear Kaplan ask this:

"So, Theo, welcome to Chicago! Was that really you at Starbucks and what did you order'?

Theo didn't get a chance to converse with any of the Cubs employees due to a loud boombox playing salsa music coming from Crane Kenney's office.

11am central correct?

Yep. Comcast SportsNet is airing it as will http://www.csnchicago.com. I bet ESPN carries it on SportsCenter as well.

i would say espnnews in its entirety, maybe a small piece of it on sc.

Now that SportsCenter is live during the days, they usually air these 'big' press conferences. But then again we aren't located East of Philadelphia so who knows.

My wife and I saw Ronny Cedeno at a Starbucks in Bradenton, FL after a ST game this season. He ordered a venti caramel frappuccino.

just saw this on sullivan's page... i had no idea such a vehicle actually existed...

Legend says that on the eve of a Cubs sweep, it appears in the game threads...

What's a Cubs sweep?

Theo will tell us.
