Calvin Johnson is much faster than Marshall. Marshall is not a big downfield threat and is more of a possession guy that CJ is. Marshall is more TO, while Johnson is more Moss. Completely different WRs. But pretty good. But Johnson has much more ability to dominant and has shown that.

Not surprisingly, Chris Harris has asked to be traded before the deadline tomorrow and Angelo has given his agent permission to seek out a trade.

ummm...thats what the last two pages were essentially about

Whoops...sorry, I assumed it was all Marshall discussion. I was lazy and didn't bother to check. I'm better than that usually.

I'm kidding about hating London, but it has been discussed before. I wonder how much the time change (both going there and especially coming back) will effect the players.

In a one off event like a football game it really shouldn't have much of an effect. They get a bye week after this trip.

aside from his ability to grab a jump ball, i don't see how he's more "dominant", seems like this megatron hype nonsense.

Plus I think both teams left today? Gives them plenty of time to get used to the time change. What is it, 6 hours ahead of CT? 6 p.m. start then. Nothing too extreme.

I'm pretty sure I read that the Bears aren't leaving until Thursday, therefore I have to think the Bucs have the advantage by leaving Monday.

This game could potentially have very large wild card implications for the Bears. I still say the Saints win the South, so that would make the Bucs their biggest competition for the 6th seed as it stands right now.

I haven't given up hope of catching the Lions yet either. We're two games behind them with one head-to-head game left. Plus they still have two games with GB.

we both did:

9. The Bears had a long time to determine exactly how to schedule their week with the trip to London. The way it’s set up, they will get most of their traditional week of work completed at Halas Hall before taking a charter flight Thursday night after a regular day at the facility. The overnight trip will put them in London Friday morning and they’ll have part of the day to rest before meetings and a practice Friday afternoon. There will be a walk-through on Saturday and then the game Sunday at Wembley Stadium.

Look above. Faster + downfield threat = more dominant. Plus, it's not like Calvin couldn't catch 100 if Detroit used him in that way. It's not like I'm comparing him to DeSean Jackson who is never going to be an 80 catch WR.

Yeah, when your hotel fees aren't a real consideration, not going to London before Weds is inexcusable.

I don't see the problem. The game is going to be played at 1pm eastern, just like most games. It doesn't do them a whole lot of good to spend a few days getting acclimated to London time in a strange locale for one game. You might as well stay home with all of your own medical and training equipment. Tampa claims they struggled last time because of traveling on Friday, but they sucked balls that year and lost big to New England. They could have done that anywhere.

I see no advantage to spending the week there. When you travel for business and go straight to work following the flight, that can mess with you. When you take a charter flight with first class seating for all and nothing to do immediately upon arrival. You are going to be fine.

i think faster and downfield threat are pretty redundant, you can't count them as two separate attributes. if you want to go the speed route then fine, but marshall is a superior route runner, which, as a wide receiver, is more important than speed. also, marshall is a more physical and stronger. i'm not trying to say marshall is clearly better, but the argument can be made--even in the face of the megatron nonsense.

the argument cannot be made that marshall is better than calvin johnson...unless you just want to make a crazy and wrong argument.

We really don't want to go there, comparing the two. It will get ugly. We could start with any number of metrics that clearly favor Calvin.
