I'm not sure what they saw in practice, but it's pretty obvious Paea can play in the NFL and have a positive impact. I'm not sure how he can be taken out of the rotation.

The biggest knock on Paea (aside from Sulleys personal distaste) has been his relative size and strength. He's small (or short) for a NFL DL, and in college relied on his freakish strength to handle O-lineman than many didn't think would translate to the NFL too easily. But, I think its clear, he has enough technique to go with his strength that he could be a good DL. He's plenty stout, and showed last night he has a good first jump off the line.

Okoye and Paea could be a hell of a combo going forward.

Chicago Bears safety Chris Harris has formally requested to be traded after being benched for Sunday's 39-10 victory over the Minnesota Vikings.

Albert Elias, Harris' agent, tweeted Monday that the Bears have granted him permission to explore a deal for his client in advance of Tuesday's NFL trade deadline.

Fine with me. I don't understand how you can play as poorly as he played last week, and then have the type of reaction he had to being demoted this week. I'm guessing this is part of the reason why he didn't dress, because he turned into captain sulk last week.

Yeah, I'd have a hard time getting worked up over a Harris trade. Can't even blame last week on injury. He was just playing dumb.

better question, what can we get for him? Is Miami in need for a safety? Marshall for Harris and our 4th rd?

I was thinking Harris for Marshall as well. I'd do it in a second.

As terrible as Miami is and as lost as their season is, I'm not sure why they'd want an older safety. Their issues are mostly on the offensive side of the ball as well.

Fair point. I still wouldn't mind throwing a draft pick or something at them for him.

that would give me a huge boner but i think the dolphins can get more, considering brandon lloyd is now the focus of a bidding war.

Sounds like Lloyd to the Rams is a done deal based on radio reports down here per a Jason LaConfora tweet.

I like the idea of giving up a big pick for Marshall, other than the fact that there are indications Cutler has been against the idea.

Have there? Any links to that?

really? i heard him refer to calvin johnson as a "brandon marshall-type", i thought they liked each other.

■Cutler equated Marshall to Calvin Johnson last week during his press conference. When asked what he thought about the prospect of playing with a Calvin Johnson-type he said, "I played with a Brandon Marshall-type."

I'm probably reading between the lines, but when asked about him Cutler has been hesitent to say much positive, other than the obvious that he can have a big impact. It seems to me he grew tired of his act. But maybe he just didn't want to rock the boat in an organization that insists their WR position is solid.

The only reason I could see people thinking this way was the incident when they played each other last year where Marshall got a first down and tossed the ball to Cutler on the sidelines, but from all indications, that was done in good fun not as a means of antagonizing Cutler.

i don't really think that there's much difference between the two of them. marshall doesn't get the hype because of his history of violence and the fact that he plays without a quarterback.

marshall is pretty much the same receiver. let's get him.

Changing topics a bit, did it look like Angelo was about to [expletive] a brick when they showed him on camera early in the game last night? Hands over his face, he looked awfully stressed out.

Someone told him that his protection against an angry mob would be his offensive line.

i don't think a big enough deal has been made out of what devin hester has been able to do in his career. it's absolutely amazing, he has destroyed every other kick returner in history and we get to the point where we almost expect him to do it every week.

yeah, he'll occasionally catch a kickoff that's about to go out of bounds, or he'll muff one, but it's all worth it.

Here's to hoping Marshall does something really dumb tonight to get tossed and gets his price down

I think that would make Angelo is more against the idea of acquiring him.

Exactly what I was thinking. It already seems unlikely given his past.

The rule book only returns those to the 40. Or is it the 35 now? Either way, I like Hester catching those.

yeah, but i'm talking about the times he catches one of those and immediately runs out of bounds.
