I'm going to have trouble not buying into the Titans if they can knock off the Steelers this week. With the Britt injury I just can't quite buy into this team fully even after the 3-1 start, but 4-1 with wins over Baltimore and Pittsburgh would start to get me excited.

We kicked it to Patrick Peterson. We kicked it to Devin Hester. Don't kick it to Darren Sproles, and we might actually have a chance.

You did kick it to Randall Cobb and he fumbled :)

I'm starting to believe that the Raiders might actually compete for a playoff spot. Playing well on the road against Houston will further that belief (and a win even more so).

My 10 bold predictions and final standings for the 2011 NFL season.

1. Houston Texans finally live up to the hype, dethrone the Colts. Doesn't seem as bold with Peyton likely to miss a lot of time, but the writing's been on the wall. Top passing game was joined by great run game last year. Get anything on D and they are a strong team. Even if they aren't good on D, change to 3-4 will be enough to at least change the culture. Enough to win the AFC South.

2. Reggie Bush finally lives up to the hype. 1500 total yards from scrimmage in Miami.

3. Out with the Old, Part I. At least 2 of the perennial playoff teams in the AFC will miss the playoffs this year (Pats, Colts, Steelers, Ravens).

4. Out with the Old, Part II. None of Peyton Manning, Brady, Rivers, Brees, or Schaub will win the passing yards title this year.

5. The Cleveland Browns will win 8 games. Blew out NE and NO last year in consecutive weeks, and lost 7 games by 7 or fewer points last year. Strong OL, solid youth on D, strong leader/winner at QB. Add in one of the easiest schedules. Recipe for turnaround in Cleveland.

6. One of the bottom 1/3 teams in power rankings (Bills, Titans, or Redskins) will win 9 games this year.

7. There will be NO coaches fired during the season for the first time in a long time.

8. Josh McDaniels does it again. After being record setting OC in NE a few years ago, making Orton a significant passing QB, he will make Sam Bradford a 4000 yard passer this year.

9. Every NFL team will win at least 4 games this year.....except the Cincinnati Bengals

10. NFL will have a record low for kickoff return TDs, including NONE in the first month of the season.

AFC East- NY Jets, Patriots, Bills, Dolphins

AFC North- Steelers, Ravens, Browns, Bengals

AFC South- Texans, Titans, Colts, Jaguars

AFC West- Chargers, Raiders, Chiefs, Broncos

NFC East- Eagles, Cowboys, Giants, Redskins

NFC North- Packers, Bears, Lions, Vikings

NFC South- Saints, Buccaneers, Falcons, Panthers

NFC West- Rams, Cardinals, Seahawks, 49ers

*wildcard teams in red

Looking decent so far, 1/4 way thru the season.

1. Looks to be right on

2. Not looking good. On pace for 800.

3. Colts and Steelers look pretty bad, Colts definitely not making it. Steelers do have easy schedule, but injuries are piling up.

4. Only hope is Cam Newton for this to come true.

5. Playing .500 so far

6. HA! Look at that. All 3 have won 3 of 4 games so far.

7. Sparano is trying to make this one fail, but got vote of confidence this week.....we'll see.

8. Ugh. On pace for 3400. Didn't factor in their impossible early season schedule

9. Not looking good. Some really bad teams in the league. Cincy has already won 2

10. Yeah, that was blown away in the season opener.

AFCE- still in play, Jets just 1 game back. And *ahem* Bills ahead of Miami.

AFCN- tight division. Cincy looks better than I thought. Steelers look worse than I thought.

AFCS- Texans, Titans making me look good

AFCW- Chiefs look worse than Broncos, but coming off a W

NFCE- Moment of dyslexia. Division is completely opposite of my picks

NFCN- Vikings clearly worse team. Monday night will go a long way toward these picks

NFCS- So far so good. Exactly right.

NFCW- Again, completely opposite.

1. Looks to be right on

This could actually be one where getting one pick right may make another wrong. You may be right on the Titans (though still a lot of doubt there) and if you are they may just knock off the Texans for the division. Probably not, especially if we keep losing to the Jags, but possible.

Rams lose Bradley Fletcher, their last good corner, for the season. They are well on their to 0-16 and holding Andrew Luck hostage.

Giving up on Bradford already?

I got from that they are going to have the #1 pick and open it to the highest bidder. Holding Luck hostage = Rams deciding where he will play.

It's If they get the No. 1 pick, it's a shame they can't just trade Bradford. Luck, with the new wage scale, is, I would guess, a significant savings.

Bradford has already been taking a beating and is going to get sacked more than David Carr, so I think it's a possibility he suffers some career-ending injury when Jason Smith dozes off during a blitz.

I think the Jets are going to lose 3 games in a row with a L to the Pats this week.

BTW: Love that Texans prediction. That team's got the potential to be the '08 Cardinals all over again. They probably won't do it.

Miami will have a lot to say about that. I only see two remotely winnable games on their schedule (Denver and Kansas City), which is much more difficult than that of the Rams. The Fish are headed for 1-15 while the Rams will pull out 2-3 wins, at worst.

Don't forget the 0-4 and quarterbackless Colts.

there's a 1% chance that happens; albeit still more likely than snayke's usual sniveling prediction du jour

i like how miami has no chance to win home games against teams like washington and buffalo and oakland under evv's assumptions, while snayke is assuming that the rams lose all their games with the bad teams in their division. you'd think they've never followed the nfl before.

I wonder if Raiders fans feel like Blackhawks fans did after Wirtz died.

Al won championships. Long ago, but he did win.
